Description

The company is hiring a senior project manager for its Data Center Lease Preconstruction work, supporting a key client's lease delivery program across North America for hyperscale data center developments.

You take over once a lease is signed and become the main point of contact between developers, vendors and internal teams. You turn lease and work letter terms into practical project guidance and drive delivery readiness early.

The role also includes building a repeatable lease launch and handoff framework and helping grow the company's data center practice across North America.

The company has spent more than 75 years delivering programmes across real estate, infrastructure and natural resources, serving developers, investors and hyperscale clients throughout the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Take signed data center leases from the transaction team into construction delivery and act as the central coordinator across developers, general contractors, trades and internal groups.
  • Condense lease overviews, work letters and related contracts into a construction-ready summary covering accelerator type, approved design and vendors, commissioning, power and connections, network delivery, and TFO scope and handling.
  • Monitor contractual dates such as EFA/FA/RFS, penalties, grace periods, lease acceleration incentives, and power delivery and ramp dates, raising risks to those dates early.
  • Close out open items carried over from lease execution before the on-site team mobilizes.
  • Take over the pre-lease risk register, check it against known exposures, and keep mitigation tracking and reporting active through delivery.
  • Coordinate design review requirements, milestones and open design items with engineering and design teams, tracking anything resolved during delivery.
  • Manage lease-defined cost and reporting duties, including baseline budget oversight, variance reporting, and change management or spend approval workflows.
  • Oversee the baseline schedule, milestones, labor curve alignment and forward schedule reporting as the lease defines them.
  • Set up project governance, including communication channels such as Slack and recurring meetings, and co-lead an in-person launch meeting with the client, developer and GC.
  • Write executive status reports covering project health, open items, risks and recovery plans for client and internal leaders.
  • Take on SOX control duties where they apply.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years of relevant project management experience, minimum.
  • Strong organizational and management skills, with the ability to collaborate well across the wider team.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Procore and construction project management tools.
  • Clear, excellent communication.

Conditions

On-site presence and requirements may change based on the client's needs.

Flexible working setup that respects work-life balance, with support for people to succeed at work and in life.

Team members have a voice in driving change.

Equal opportunity employer that welcomes applications from all sectors of the community.
