Description

The role advises a financial services client account and supports the company's strategic business goals. It sits in the Project Management function as Owner's Representative, managing projects from initiation through completion.

You will lead office infrastructure construction onsite and across the region. The work centres on MEP upgrades and installations in occupied offices within smart buildings, with a strong focus on BMS automation controls.

The company is a global professional services firm with more than 22,000 people in over 60 countries. It works with clients in real estate, infrastructure, energy and natural resources, and offers program, project, cost, asset and commercial management, controls and performance, procurement and supply chain, net zero and digital services. It is majority-owned by a larger commercial real estate services firm, with partners holding a significant minority stake.

Responsibilities

  • Manage every phase of several real estate projects, from planning and design through construction, occupancy and closeout.
  • Work with clients on scope, delivery resourcing, cost estimates and budget, schedule and milestones, quality control, and risk identification.
  • Select delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through the project qualification process. Run complex requests for proposals, evaluate bids, and recommend resources to clients.
  • Keep all workstreams on schedule and drive issues to resolution or escalate them.
  • Report project progress to the Project Management Director and other business leaders.
  • Hold regular status meetings for active and pending projects.
  • Coach and manage other project managers so they build deep expertise across most or all areas of the function.
  • Guide the project team through solution development, implementation and completion.
  • Find and develop better methods that advance both individual and department goals.
  • Build depth in your own field and working knowledge of other subject areas in the function.
  • Shape customer, operational, project and service outcomes across multidiscipline teams, within functional policies that also inform procedures.
  • Help create new products, processes, standards and operational plans that support functional goals.
  • Lead by example, anticipate objections, and win over senior and divergent stakeholders to a different view.

Requirements

  • You must already be authorized to work in the United States, with no need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Preferred: a bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, with 8-10 years of relevant experience. A combination of experience and education will be considered in place of a degree.
  • Preferred: PE, LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM designation.
  • Required: owner's representative experience with a Class A financial or professional services client, plus infrastructure or MEP experience.
  • Desired: strong knowledge of BMS controls, building automation and smart buildings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, plus knowledge of PM Web or similar project management software.
  • Required: a solid record of working strategically with senior leadership and leading delivery resource projects.
  • Required: the ability to work in a demanding environment while leading multiple projects or programs at different stages.
