Description

The company is a diversified manufacturing partner that works with market-leading brands on products meant to improve the world.

The company plans to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment as a separate, independent public company in Q1 2027.

If the spin-off goes ahead, this role will support that new company, which focuses on critical digital infrastructure and end-to-end power and thermal management for AI data centres and other mission-critical uses.

The role sits in the Operations team in Dundalk, Ireland, reports to the Head of Projects and leads a portfolio of hyperscale customer projects.

You will link several departments, coordinating engineering from sales through to fabrication and manufacturing, supply chain, projects and site teams.

This is a people leadership role: you deliver projects, set governance, mentor project managers and support the strategic goals of the business unit.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a project team, owning and managing every aspect of your projects, reporting on them, and deciding which resources are needed and who owns each task.
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with clients.
  • Lead, mentor and develop project managers through regular performance reviews and coaching, keeping delivery standards consistent across the team.
  • Write strategic and operational plans for each major project, and track and report on project and financial performance.
  • Work with project managers to spot needs, then design and test ways around problems.
  • Run day-to-day project operations and check the team's deliverables before they go to clients.
  • Carry out project changes and interventions within required timescales and cost limits.
  • Monitor and control assigned projects, reporting against plans and stepping in where needed to keep delivery on time.
  • Coordinate project activities with related projects and functional work to prevent delays and reduce exposure and risk.
  • Keep project documents complete, current and properly filed, and give regular, concise, accurate project, operational and financial reports to the Head of Projects.
  • Send monthly applications and invoicing to the finance team on time.

Requirements

  • A third-level qualification or an electrical trade qualification.
  • At least 5 years in project management within the electrical manufacturing industry.
  • Project management qualifications and skills, plus experience with AutoCAD.
  • Strong people management skills.
  • Solid problem-solving skills, self-motivation and readiness to take initiative.
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills.
  • Team player with a positive attitude, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to review and understand schematics, GA plans and specifications for electrical power and control switchgear and its components.
  • Willing to travel within the EMEA region.
  • Fluent English, essential.
  • Advantageous: experience with bar products.
  • Advantageous: strong knowledge of electrical power systems and data centre operations.
