Data Engineer

Description

The company is a diversified manufacturing partner for market-leading brands, designing, building and delivering products.

The company plans to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment as an independent public company, Axiom, with the spin planned for Q1 2027. If the spin happens, this role will support Axiom, which provides end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

The role is based in Tczew, Poland.

Main goal: use advanced analytics, Big Data technologies and predictive modeling to support business decisions, while keeping business applications reliable, available and running continuously.

Responsibilities

• Help implement and improve business applications and system functions.
• Build and apply statistical, predictive and machine learning models that support real-time business decisions.
• Analyze data with advanced methods and tools to address business challenges and opportunities.
• Collect, integrate and transform structured and unstructured data from multiple sources using Big Data technologies.
• Design data-driven solutions that find patterns, streamline processes and improve business performance.
• Promote data analytics best practices and help build analytical skills across the organization.
• Handle daily administration, maintenance and support of business applications.
• Work with external vendors, internal consultants, Key Users and Help Desk teams to keep systems running smoothly.
• Develop new business solutions that raise productivity and improve user experience.
• Define and put in place procedures and technical solutions that improve system performance, stability, standardization and security.
• Create, analyze and maintain reports, dashboards and data visualizations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Write and maintain technical, functional and process documentation for delivered solutions and analytics work.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 2-3 years of experience as an IT business analyst and in database administration.
• Good Polish and English language skills.
• Eligibility to work in Poland.
• Nice to have: a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field.
• Nice to have: experience with business applications such as ERP, MES, HR or financial systems.
• Nice to have: knowledge of SQL, Python, R or other data analytics tools.
• Nice to have: experience with Big Data platforms and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Nice to have: knowledge of machine learning, predictive analytics and statistical modeling.
• Nice to have: experience with cloud data and analytics platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Nice to have: Microsoft Data & AI, Azure Data Engineer, Power BI or similar analytics certifications.
