Senior Project Manager - Project Delivery (all genders)

This senior project manager role covers delivery for enterprise client implementations. You act as the technical and operational lead from the first client onboarding step through to go-live and early operations, linking complex software systems, client business goals and implementation partners.

Responsibilities

• Own complex, multi-stakeholder IT implementations and SaaS onboardings from start to finish, covering scope, roadmap, budget, resourcing and risk, with autonomy.
• Guide client onboarding end to end, from architecture alignment and integration scoping to go-live and early operations.
• Serve as the technical counterpart for client architects, system integrators and internal engineers, and turn APIs, webhooks, microservices and headless setups into concrete project deliverables.
• Direct external agencies and system integrators, checking their delivery milestones, integration architectures and quality gates with a critical eye.
• Lead status calls, steering committees and milestone reviews with C-level and senior technical leaders at high-profile retail and brand clients.
• Resolve complex integration bottlenecks, weigh trade-offs as platform requirements shift, and spread best practices through the team's delivery playbook.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience independently running large-scale, complex IT integration or e-commerce projects from initial scoping to production go-live.
• Solid grasp of modern software architecture, headless or composable commerce, API-first design (REST, GraphQL), microservices and integrations with ERP, OMS, PIM and payment systems. You can follow technical constraints and data flows and challenge estimates constructively.
• German at C1 level or higher (fluent to business-fluent), which is essential because you will lead steering, workshops and delivery communication with enterprise clients in the DACH market.
• English at fluent or C1 level, which is essential for daily work with international product and engineering teams.
• Deep practical experience with Agile, Scrum and hybrid delivery frameworks, plus strong working knowledge of Jira, Confluence and other project management tools.
• Proven experience governing external integrators, agencies and cross-functional vendor teams without direct line authority over them.
• A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, business informatics, industrial engineering or a related field, or equivalent substantial technical project experience.
• Certifications in project management or agile practice such as PMP, PRINCE2, PSPO or PSM.
• Background in SaaS platform onboarding, enterprise e-commerce platforms or systems consulting.
