Its customers come from pulp and paper, process industries, power generation, marine, and oil and gas.

This senior engineering role supports automation delivery projects and is based in Gliwice or Wrocław, Poland.

Your profile is reviewed in November. Shortlisted candidates get a preliminary online video interview, then an initial interview with the hiring manager and possibly an online assessment. Finalists attend a final interview. Interviews may begin before the application period ends.

Responsibilities

• Design the marine distributed control system, including system design and controller programming, which takes about 70-80% of your time.
• Carry out hardware and process controller programming, keeping projects on schedule and meeting customer expectations.
• Test and commission the system at shipyards, mainly Saint Nazaire in France, Papenburg in Germany and the Fincantieri shipyards in Italy, which is typically 15-30% of your time.

Requirements

• A B.Sc. or M.Sc. in automation or a similar field is a very good starting point.
• At least 3 years of experience with distributed control systems (DCS) or programmable logic controllers (PLC).
• Hands-on automation engineering, including programming in Function Block Diagram (FBD) and Sequential Function Chart languages.
• Familiarity with engineering quality practices.
• Strength: process know-how in marine, HVAC or ESD, or experience with DCS or PLC control systems.
• Written and spoken English and Polish at B1 or higher.
• Strength: good German, French or Italian communication skills.
• Good Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
• Driving licence, category B or higher.
• Asset: VBA skills.
• A customer-oriented team player who works well within project teams.
