Description

The company builds AI-native technology for travel, drawing on 10 years of proprietary technology and supply for business travel.

It serves over 40,000 customers, nearly 2 million travelers, and travel and AI companies that build on its infrastructure. A single system handles business travel, group travel, human agents and AI agents.

Recent recognition includes TravelTech's Reservation Platform of the Year (2026), Inc.'s Power Partners list (2026) and Built In's Best Places to Work (2020, 2026).

The company has spent 2 years investing in AI, which shows in its product, the speed of its innovation and its gross margin. It is now bringing that effort together under two new teams: Applied AI, which changes how work gets done, and AI Platform, which builds the tools and infrastructure to scale it. Together they will measure impact, roll out tooling and set standards across the company.

You will join bold, ambitious colleagues who expect a fast pace, grant full ownership and push each other to do their best work. Every hire raises that bar.

Responsibilities

  • Embed in one of the company's business functions as an Applied AI product manager and build internal automation that removes manual steps and speeds up the work. This is not a consumer product.
  • Shadow the people doing the work and map each step, handoff and wait to see where the time goes.
  • Choose one workload at a time, starting with steps that are repetitive, high-volume and time-consuming. Decide the order with the functional leader and turn down everything else.
  • Before building, get the functional leader to approve a cycle time or unit metric, then measure the baseline.
  • Work with engineering to design and ship automation that replaces manual work at the company's scale, including hundreds of thousands of support cases. Use AI tools and agents to speed up your analysis, prototyping and documentation.
  • Define the first version you can ship, who uses it first and how it reaches the rest of the function.
  • Set out what the function needs to run the workload without you, with a named owner inside the function.
  • If the metric does not improve, return with a fix or a recommendation to stop, with a deadline.
  • Within 6 months, the function's key workflows are mapped, the first workload's metric is approved and baselined before the build, the first version is live with real users and cycle time is falling, and your lessons are written into the playbook the next embedded PM will use.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of product management experience, ideally on internal tools, operations or workflow products, including at least one AI or automation product in production.
  • You have mapped a messy business process, found the steps that cost the most time and removed them.
  • You are comfortable spending your first weeks shadowing support agents or accountants and judge success by whether the work gets faster.
  • You can baseline a cycle time, define a metric a business leader will approve and account for costs, including model spend and engineering time.
  • You understand what LLMs and agents do well, where they fail and how evals and human review fit into a workflow.
  • You build trust with leaders who do not report to you and hold firm on scope when others want different things.
