Description

You will lead analytics for the Business Account Squad at the company, a global technology company that builds ways to move and manage money.

The squad builds the main account businesses use for their banking, helping them start using the product safely and giving them the workflows and controls to manage finances worldwide.

You will manage a team of at least 5 analysts who sit inside the product teams. Your analytics leadership will shape the roadmap and push forward high-impact work that makes money movement faster, cheaper and simpler for everyone.

This is an AL2 role under the analytics career map and levelling structure.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Product, Engineering and Design leads to find ways to improve the product and deliver them. Review team plans and progress and give useful feedback.
  • Set clear goals and measurable KPIs. Report progress against product goals in a clear way and take action to speed it up.
  • Own the data strategy for Business Account Analytics. Plan the roadmap for the data and tools needed to scale impact, and make decisions faster and better across the squad.
  • Lead, grow and support a high-performing analyst team. Give performance feedback and coaching, plan hiring and capacity, and make sure analyst work has the greatest impact.

Requirements

  • 5-6 years of experience as an analyst and 2-5 years of leading people. The two periods can overlap.
  • Experience working with product teams: finding and assessing opportunities that create the most impact for customers and KPIs, measuring the results of shipped work, and recommending changes and new initiatives.
  • Strong analytical thinking, with skill in SQL and Python, data modelling (for example Airflow or dbt), and working with event data (for example Mixpanel).
  • A bias to action: you spot what needs doing and get it done.
  • You can work independently in a fast-paced setting, choosing high-impact projects and triaging incoming requests.
  • Strong stakeholder management: you collaborate well, influence others, and know when to say yes or no to maximise impact.
  • Preferred, but not required: B2B experience and familiarity with business financial workflows.
