Senior Product Analyst - Quick Commerce (Fixed-term)

Description

You will own the analytics for vendor onboarding and integration within Local Shops, the part of the product that determines how fast vendors can join the platform and begin selling.

Your analysis will turn product and operational data into decisions that guide the roadmap. You will drive initiatives from start to finish with a high degree of independence.

Local Shops builds technology that expands the non-food range within Quick Commerce, opens new market segments and supports revenue growth. The onboarding and integration area sets how vendors join the platform and how well they connect to it. The work runs on in-house tooling that handles billions of orders.

The company operates in around 65 countries, is headquartered in Berlin and has been listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange since 2017. It is part of the MDAX index and is one of Europe's largest tech platforms.

Responsibilities

• Set hypotheses, KPIs and success criteria together with Local Shops product managers, engineers and data scientists.
• Study product and operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies and growth opportunities.
• Define event tracking and instrumentation, and check that the data is accurate and complete.
• Plan and run experiments, including A/B tests and quasi-experiments, and use causal inference to find what moves key metrics.
• Build dashboards and BI solutions, and present findings as clear narratives to product managers, leadership and other stakeholders.
• Document analytical frameworks, KPIs and insights so the permanent analyst can take over without disruption before your contract ends.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in product analytics or data analytics, ideally in a fast-moving, product-led setting.
• Advanced SQL, with BigQuery preferred, plus visualisation tools such as Tableau or Google Data Studio.
• Hands-on work with A/B testing platforms such as Optimizely or Adobe Target, and a solid grasp of statistics and experimental design.
• Experience with tracking and instrumentation tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Mixpanel or similar.
• Strong stakeholder management across product, engineering, data science and business teams.
• Comfortable using AI tools such as Claude or Gemini for analysis and documentation.
• Data manipulation in Python or R.
• Experience with orchestration and pipeline tools such as Airflow, GitHub and dbt, plus ETL.
• Experience with causal inference or quasi-experimental methods.
• Background in quick commerce, e-commerce or grocery delivery.

Conditions

This is a fixed-term role based in Berlin, with hybrid work: 2 days a week on the Berlin campus for in-person collaboration.

You receive 27 days of holiday, with one extra day from your second and third year of service.
