You guide a group of technical engineers through problems that come up across the program lifecycle.

You report to the program Engineering PM and work alongside the program Chief Engineer, the Lead Systems Engineer/SEIT Lead and the Program Management Office to meet program and stakeholder commitments.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver every product team deliverable on cost and schedule, meeting contractual, programmatic and technical requirements and stakeholder expectations.
  • Use the Earned Value Management System to analyze progress, investigate variances and act on them to keep the program on track.
  • Run thorough risk and opportunity management.
  • Keep the Integrated Master Schedule and time-phased labor and material spreads current so cost and schedule reporting is accurate.
  • Make sure engineering and program processes, company policies and industry standards are followed, so work runs efficiently and stays auditable.
  • Manage scope tightly against the Statement of Work, and handle change requests with program leadership and task-level teams.
  • Plan staffing with engineering functional management, confirm the skill mix fits the work, and resolve resource conflicts.
  • Work with Global Supply Chain to manage suppliers and materials needed for product team deliverables.
  • Work with Manufacturing & Operations and Integration and Test to support the build and I&T of IPT subsystems and products.

Requirements

  • Hold an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at the time of application, current and within scope.
  • Have a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 8 years of applicable experience, or a Master's degree and 6 years of applicable experience, or a PhD and 4 years of experience.
  • Have 2-3 years of experience in at least one phase of spacecraft development, build, and/or operations.
  • Have experience with risk and opportunity management and with change control.
  • Have 1 year of project management experience with CAM responsibilities.
  • Preferred: 1-2 years in project management roles such as CAM or IPT, with experience using the Earned Value Management System on programs.
  • Preferred: experience across the full spacecraft lifecycle, covering development, build and operations.
  • Preferred: prior experience as an Operations Program Manager (OPM).
  • Preferred: an active TS/SCI clearance with existing SAP access.

The offer depends on the candidate getting final clearances and program access within a reasonable period, as the company determines.

The base salary range for the primary level is $142,200.00 to $213,400.00. Actual pay depends on scope and responsibilities, plus experience, education, skills and market conditions.

The application period is estimated at 20 days from the posting date, but it may be shortened or extended based on business needs and candidate availability.
