Senior Operations Support Engineer

The company is hiring a Senior Operations Support Engineer for one of its clients, a European agency that runs large-scale digital services.

The company is part of Accenture and specialises in complex public sector IT projects, including systems integration, informatics and analytics, solution implementation and programme management. Its teams work across software development, data science, security management, machine learning, cloud and mobile development.

The company was acquired by Accenture in July 2024.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex incidents affecting mission-critical applications and services.
• Run root cause analysis and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
• Set up monitoring strategies and performance baselines.
• Support deployments, releases and operational readiness work.
• Coordinate troubleshooting across infrastructure, middleware and application teams.
• Help build automation and push for operational excellence.
• Write operational reports, performance analyses and improvement recommendations.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in enterprise operations and application support.
• Deep knowledge of incident, problem and change management.
• Experience supporting containerised and cloud-native environments.
• Sharp analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate with stakeholders.
• Experience working in international, multi-vendor environments.
• Working knowledge of Linux and Unix.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git/GitHub.
• Experience with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Experience with the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash or Vector, Kibana).
• Experience with ServiceNow or an equivalent ITSM tool.
• Experience with Kafka or other event streaming platforms.
• Experience with API gateways and integration platforms.
• Scripting and automation skills.
