Description

This senior role sits in academic and society marketing for a surgical robotics company. You will work directly with academic medical centers to win formal endorsements, consistent training programs and shared best practices.

You will align with hospital executives, department chairs and program directors to move curriculum adoption forward and help these centers meet their teaching, research and patient care mission. Your case will rest on clinical data, peer-reviewed studies and faculty advocates, positioning the company's systems as an established standard of care.

You will partner with Marketing, Product, Digital, Customer Training and Key Accounts to set training standards, mentor faculty and grow procedure volume.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and run observation programs that cover full training programs at several major academic medical centers.
  • Set the standards for force feedback, case insights, telepresence and dual console use across top centers, and scale them with key faculty.
  • Build curriculum integration, resident training benchmarks and published training protocols.
  • Lead summits for large academic health networks to shape their direction and growth.
  • Create executive forums, national user conferences and peer-to-peer education that shape institutional priorities, speed adoption and produce measurable program growth.
  • Work with the Academic Key Accounts team on influencer marketing across health systems.
  • Promote early-career academic alumni as champions and thought leaders, and develop faculty KOLs who can influence program directors.
  • Bring thought leaders into local peer-to-peer events and key sessions at the company's own events and society symposia.
  • Create scalable plans to place residents and fellows trained on the systems into early practice roles, including early practice mentorship events.
  • Work with the Market Activation and Outreach Team to help centers write messages on the impact of robotic surgery and bronchoscopy for patients and providers.
  • Work with US Product Marketing to expand cross-specialty adoption of the newest systems by building product advances into academic plans.
  • Share case studies from across the country on resident training, benign procedure use and the newest system cases in academia.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, health sciences or a related field.
  • Advanced degree such as an MBA, MPH or related field is preferred.
  • 10+ years in marketing, partnerships or program management in healthcare or medical devices, focused on academic, clinical or society work.
  • A record of forging strategic partnerships with academic institutions and/or professional societies, and of driving curriculum and education work across matrixed teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication to engage and influence audiences from senior society leaders to residents and fellows.
  • Proficient in market and data analysis, with the ability to turn insights into targeted strategies.
  • Experience managing several projects at once, setting priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel 50% for academic site visits, trade shows, society events and other business needs.
  • Think strategically by linking academic and society trends to long-term goals.
  • Build trust with KOLs, faculty, society leaders and administrators.
  • Unite cross-functional teams, from Clinical Marketing to Digital Solutions, behind cohesive programs.
  • Adapt quickly to new research, partner feedback and changing market conditions.
  • Deep commitment to surgical education, better patient outcomes and the future of robotic surgery.
