Description

The role is a 12-month fixed term contract.

You will be accountable for marketing across the TAAP portfolio in ANZ: the tax research product, its international version for tax specialists in markets outside the US, and the ESG reporting solution.

Your remit covers owning the marketing plan, generating pipeline for a sales-led business, growing and keeping customers, and raising the profile of the company's tax and accounting brands.

About 30% of the time goes to strategy and planning and about 70% to hands-on execution. You set the standard for the portfolio and do most of the work yourself.

The audience is accountants and tax professionals across ANZ and international tax specialists outside the US. Most of the growth sits with existing and lapsed customers, and with new sustainability reporting rules that are driving demand for the ESG solution.

The company supplies trusted content and technology to professionals in legal, tax, accounting, compliance, government and media. It has about 26,000 staff in more than 70 countries.

Responsibilities

  • Build and deliver the ANZ marketing plan for the TAAP portfolio, covering priorities, budget, calendar and measures, tied to business targets and agreed with the TAAP leadership team.
  • Deliver marketing's share of TAAP targets through qualified leads, sourced and influenced pipeline, and wins across ANZ and the international markets served by the international tax product.
  • Plan and run integrated campaigns from start to finish across email and automation, digital, webinars, events and content, building audiences with Marketing Operations and doing much of the execution yourself.
  • Take launches to market by adapting global positioning and assets into regional launch plans, sales tools and customer messages, so audiences and sales are ready on launch day.
  • Grow and retain the customer base through adoption, upgrade, renewal and win-back marketing with Customer Growth and Retention, and use customer results as evidence for future campaigns.
  • Own the quality and consistency of TAAP content. Write and edit priority material, review and challenge what the business produces, and direct writers, designers and agencies.
  • Own TAAP content across the company's websites and digital channels, keeping it current and effective in search and conversion, working with the web and digital teams.
  • Track and report performance against agreed targets, and use testing, data and customer insight to improve results over time.
  • Act as marketing partner to the TAAP leadership team and sales. Align on targets, lead management and follow-up, equip sales with messaging and materials, and build marketing skills across the business.

Requirements

  • You have built a marketing plan for a business or portfolio starting from a small base, set its priorities and budget, and won agreement from senior stakeholders.
  • You have planned and run B2B campaigns yourself aimed at prospects and existing customers, including upgrade and win-back campaigns, that fed a sales team's pipeline and produced measurable results.
  • You have taken a product to market in a competitive category, turning positioning into campaigns, sales tools and customer communications.
  • You write and edit well, can spot weak content and improve it, and brief writers and designers to a high standard.
  • You work hands-on in marketing automation, CRM, web content management and digital channels rather than only briefing others.
  • You use data to follow pipeline from lead to win and decide what to scale, fix or stop, including running simple tests.
  • You can tell senior stakeholders when work is not good enough, and work as a peer to sales without formal authority.
  • Preferred: experience marketing to accountants, tax advisers or other professional services firms, and knowledge of the Australian tax and accounting market, its professional bodies and events.
  • Preferred: familiarity with ESG or sustainability reporting.
  • Preferred: experience running webinars and events that produced pipeline, with follow-up agreed with sales.
  • Preferred: experience building audiences and working with marketing operations on data, lead routing and consent.
  • Preferred: everyday use of AI tools for research, drafting and analysis, with careful checking of the output.
  • Preferred: experience marketing AI-enabled or subscription software, or running campaigns across several countries.
  • Preferred: hands-on use of Eloqua, Salesforce or a similar stack.
