Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer

The company is a subsidiary of a larger group that provides engineering, supply chain and manufacturing services to major brands, with more than 100 sites worldwide and over 60 years of experience.

The company is hiring a hands-on Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer to support and strengthen its global technology environment. The role suits an experienced infrastructure engineer who likes solving technical problems, works with modern cloud and security platforms, and wants to work at a smaller company with a global footprint.

You will help run and improve the systems the business depends on, including network infrastructure, Microsoft cloud services, security tools, endpoint platforms, telecom, servers and global site technology. You will work with internal teams, business stakeholders, vendors and service providers to deliver reliable, secure and scalable IT services.

Responsibilities

• Keep the global network running, including switches, firewalls, wireless, VPNs, telecom services and monitoring tools.
• Run Microsoft cloud, identity, endpoint and security platforms such as Azure, Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Purview, Microsoft 365 and Teams Phone.
• Watch infrastructure, endpoint, identity and security alerts, and help investigate, respond to and remediate them.
• Help with IT audits, SOX controls, security reviews, compliance documentation, evidence collection and tracking of remediation work.
• Manage work with telecom, internet, cloud, security, software and infrastructure vendors, covering setup, troubleshooting, renewals and ongoing support.
• Help with office moves, infrastructure deployments, site support, service provider transitions and technology rollouts.
• Handle advanced troubleshooting for servers, endpoints, remote access tools, phones, business applications and infrastructure issues.

Requirements

• 10 years of IT experience, with 5+ years focused on network, cloud, systems, infrastructure or security engineering.
• Hands-on experience supporting multi-site or global infrastructure environments.
• Experience with Microsoft cloud, identity, endpoint and security technologies.
• Working knowledge of cybersecurity monitoring, vulnerability management, audit support and compliance requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, organization and follow-up skills.
• Able to work independently and partner well with internal teams, vendors and service providers.
• Able to travel approximately 30% to support global sites and infrastructure projects.
• Preferred: experience supporting smaller or mid-sized companies with global operations.
• Preferred: relevant certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, CompTIA Security+, CISSP or similar.
• Preferred: experience with SOC workflows, SIEM or log monitoring, Nagios, Linux/Unix systems and specialized compliance requirements.

Conditions

Based in Austin, Texas.

Travel of approximately 30% to support global sites and infrastructure projects.
