Description

The role is an embedded graphic design position supporting a high-performing Agency Leasing and Capital Markets brokerage team, creating marketing materials for properties offered for lease and for sale.

The designer reports to local operations leadership and works daily with brokers and fee-earners.

You will turn property positioning, market data and complicated information into clear, persuasive visuals for print and digital use, and take the lead on creative work from concept to finished piece with a high level of autonomy, strategic thinking and ownership.

The team wants a creative, detail-minded, practical designer with a strong eye for design who understands how visuals serve marketing goals and who does well in a quick-moving, collaborative sales setting.

Responsibilities

  • Agency Leasing work
  • Lead concept and production of polished property marketing from first idea to final output, for requests from brokers, fee-earners, marketing partners and team leaders.
  • Turn property positioning, target audience, differentiators and marketing goals into strong visual solutions.
  • Design logos, brand systems and look-and-feel concepts that express what a property is and give it a clear visual identity.
  • Convert complex property details, market figures, amenities and location features into clear, engaging visuals.
  • Make maps, infographics, icons, tables, charts, illustrations and other visual storytelling pieces as needed.
  • Apply advanced typography, layout, branding and information hierarchy, with strong production skills.
  • Deliver consistent, high-quality work on tight deadlines using an organized, efficient workflow.
  • Design leasing materials such as property brochures, flyers, availability and tenant presentations, and marketing center collateral.
  • Produce email campaigns, digital ads, social graphics, signage and event materials that support leasing campaigns.
  • Capital Markets work
  • Design sales collateral such as offering memorandums (OMs), broker opinions of value (BOVs), property brochures and pitch and client presentations.
  • Produce email blasts and other graphics that promote properties for sale.
  • Project ownership and teamwork
  • Act as a dependable creative partner to the brokerage team.
  • Join project kickoffs and creative discussions to understand the property, audience and business aims before designing.
  • Manage your own priorities, expectations and deadlines across several Leasing and Capital Markets projects at once, raising conflicts with operations leadership when necessary.
  • Own all creative and production quality control, including final file preparation.
  • Present concepts to internal stakeholders and brokerage teams and explain the reasoning behind your choices.
  • Revise work based on feedback while keeping the creative concept and marketing goal intact.
  • Flag project challenges early and propose creative or production fixes.
  • Creative quality and standards
  • Uphold the company brand standards while giving each property brand a distinct, compelling identity.
  • Judge when an existing template works and when a custom, bespoke solution is needed.
  • Check work for accuracy, quality, consistency and fit with project goals and brand standards.
  • Help build templates, design systems and creative resources that speed up work without lowering quality.
  • Share best practices and keep up with design trends, new technologies and digital capabilities.
  • Form working relationships with design colleagues in similar roles to exchange practices and keep work consistent across offices.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communications or a related field is preferred, or an equivalent mix of education and professional experience.
  • At least 5 years of professional graphic design experience, preferably in a high-volume agency, corporate marketing or professional services setting.
  • Experience in commercial real estate, property marketing, architecture or commercial construction marketing is preferred.
  • Advanced skill in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Strong skill in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint.
  • A strong portfolio covering a broad range of work, including branding, marketing collateral, long-format design, information design, and print and digital production.
  • Proven ability to take projects from concept to final production with limited direction.
  • Experience building brands and creative concepts and working within existing templates and brand standards.
  • Solid understanding of infographics, icons, maps, charts and other ways of making complex information clear.
  • Careful attention to detail and a firm commitment to quality control and accuracy.
  • Excellent time management, organization and prioritization, with the ability to juggle many projects and competing deadlines.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication, with the ability to work with brokers, operations leadership and marketing partners.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently in a high-volume setting while keeping creative quality high.
  • A proven record of excellent service to internal clients.
  • Self-driven and proactive, and comfortable working in a collaborative team.
