Description

The company is hiring a senior engineer for its digital twin group to lead the design and build of a real-time, GPU-accelerated engine that predicts how radio signals move through detailed three-dimensional surroundings.

The engine will output per-link channel data and radio maps quickly enough for production RAN stacks. The work lays groundwork for 5G and 6G network simulation on the company's GPU and ray-tracing platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Build a GPU ray-tracing engine that runs at both planning and real-time speeds.
  • For planning, produce volumetric radio maps of coverage, SINR and best server at several resolutions, combinable across cells, frequencies and beam setups, for operators who design and tune deployments.
  • For real time, deliver per-link multipath channel updates at millisecond intervals, using adaptive methods that skip recalculating anything unchanged over time.
  • Set the foundations for real-time GPU ray tracing, including algorithms, data structures and multi-GPU scaling that reach sub-millisecond propagation updates. This is the core technical challenge of the role.

Requirements

  • PhD in computer graphics, high-performance computing, computational electromagnetics or a closely related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Hands-on CUDA skills and at least one GPU ray-tracing framework such as OptiX, Vulkan RT or Embree, plus a record of production-quality GPU code.
  • Skill with GPU-friendly spatial structures such as BVH, space-filling curves and hash maps, and the ability to reason about memory hierarchy, occupancy and compute versus bandwidth at kernel level.
  • Working knowledge of wave propagation (reflection, transmission, diffraction and scattering), enough to build and validate a propagation engine.
  • Published work with real impact in GPU ray tracing, real-time rendering or deterministic propagation modelling.
  • Ways to stand out: experience with real-time or near-real-time ray-tracing engines running in production systems.
  • Ways to stand out: prior work on multi-GPU partitioning for ray tracing or large-scale simulation.
  • Ways to stand out: familiarity with 3GPP channel models and wireless network planning tools.
  • Ways to stand out: knowledge of geospatial coordinate systems and tiling schemes.

Conditions

Base pay depends on location, experience and other objective job-related factors.

Expected base salary is 184,000 USD to 287,500 USD for Level 4, and 224,000 USD to 356,500 USD for Level 5.

Applications are accepted at least until November 6, 2026.
