Senior Full Stack Engineer

The company runs the company, a platform that brings safety, security and daily facility operations into one system for organizations worldwide. It is a fast-growing company that is expanding globally.

The team is looking for a senior full stack engineer who can get up to speed quickly, work well with current engineers, and start delivering meaningful results within the first few weeks. The role suits someone who can work through legacy systems, apply solid architecture principles, and make careful technical choices that speed up delivery without lowering quality.

You will bring strong backend engineering experience and good judgment, and you will work independently while staying aligned with team standards and architectural direction.

This is a hybrid role, with office attendance required three (3) days a week.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, review and maintain backend web applications and services across the platform.
• Learn the existing platform architecture, legacy components, integration points and modernization opportunities quickly.
• Work with the engineering team to make technical decisions that fit established architecture and delivery goals.
• Help modernize legacy systems through incremental, low-risk steps, such as the Strangler Fig pattern where it fits.
• Keep code quality high through code reviews, unit tests, static code analysis, and adopting or improving engineering tools and standards.
• Take an active part in peer code reviews, giving useful feedback and pushing for maintainable, testable and scalable solutions.
• Diagnose and fix application issues in all environments, including staging and production, aiming for root-cause fixes that hold.
• Work with engineering leads, product stakeholders and project managers to support business operations and project delivery.
• Research and propose application, automation and architecture improvements that would benefit the platform.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of proven experience building backend web applications on.NET Framework and.NET Core using C.
• At least 5 years of experience building web applications with Angular and TypeScript.
• Proven ability to grasp complex legacy systems, spot key integration points, and contribute quickly with limited ramp-up time.
• Strong experience with object-oriented programming, design patterns and clean architecture to build maintainable, testable software.
• Proven experience writing unit tests and applying quality-focused development practices.
• Proven experience designing and building RESTful services.
• Experience designing and building cloud-native SaaS and PaaS applications on Azure or AWS. Azure experience is preferred.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
• Ability to make sound technical decisions alongside existing engineering teams.
• A proactive, curious and investigative approach, with close attention to quality and detail.
• Enthusiasm for technology, continuous improvement and modern engineering practices.
• Ability to manage your own priorities and deliver results with little supervision.
• A strong team player who collaborates across engineering, architecture and product.
• Hands-on experience with event-driven architecture is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with microservices is a plus.
