Description

You will join the Clairvoyant program to build the main link between the company's platform and its customers: an API layer and a modern web interface that deliver real-time data to third-party partners.

You will work in a hardened, AWS-based environment running on Kubernetes, where modern interface standards must meet strict government security rules.

The role carries high visibility.

Your work spans the full software development lifecycle, from agile requirements through automated CI/CD deployment to Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain responsive React front ends that display complex, real-time data for external partners, including high-concurrency use cases.
  • Design and maintain scalable REST and GraphQL APIs for third-party data access, written in Node.js, Python (FastAPI or Flask), or Java (Spring Boot).
  • Apply OAuth2, OIDC, mTLS and RBAC so that external data access stays secure.
  • Design and tune how the application uses PostgreSQL and non-relational stores such as Elasticsearch and Redis.
  • Package applications in Docker and deploy them to Kubernetes on AWS alongside the DevSecOps team.
  • Confirm that the code satisfies DISA STIG standards and addresses the OWASP Top 10 at every stage of development.
  • Connect code to GitLab CI/CD pipelines and use Helm charts to deploy across environments.
  • Review code, guide junior developers, and act as subject matter expert for third-party API integration.
  • Keep technical documentation, API specifications and integration guides up to date.

Requirements

  • Hold a current TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • Have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Bring 5+ years of full-stack software engineering experience for mid-level, or 10+ years for senior-level.
  • Be advanced in JavaScript/TypeScript and React, including Redux and Context API.
  • Have strong experience building APIs with Node.js, Python (FastAPI/Flask), or Java (Spring Boot).
  • Be proficient with Docker, including writing Dockerfiles, building hardened images, and integrating with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Know GitLab CI/CD, Helm and Kubernetes deployment.
  • Be comfortable working in an agile team spread across locations.
  • Be able to travel up to 5%.
  • Desired: experience with data visualization libraries such as D3.js or Recharts.
  • Desired: familiarity with GraphQL federation and advanced API design patterns.
  • Desired: experience with AWS services including ECS/EKS, API Gateway, CloudFront and RDS.
  • Desired: working knowledge of OAuth2, OIDC, mTLS and modern API security patterns.
  • Desired: knowledge of the OWASP Top 10 and STIG-compliant development practices.
  • Desired: exposure to Elasticsearch query optimization and index management at scale.
  • Desired: familiarity with RHEL 9 hardening and STIG compliance at the OS and container level.
  • Desired: relevant certifications such as AWS Developer Associate, CKAD, or CompTIA Security+.

Conditions

Full-time, regular position.

Travel of up to 10%, within the continental US.
