Senior Full Stack Developer (.Net Technology Stack)

This is a hybrid Full Stack Developer role in downtown Toronto for someone with strong Microsoft.NET experience. You will build and support multi-tier applications in C, VB.NET, ASP.NET MVC and Webforms, and you may also work with Java or Python. You will design, build and maintain secure, scalable software alongside cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain multi-tier web applications on.NET technologies, including C, VB.NET, ASP.NET MVC and Webforms.
• Connect front-end, back-end and database layers so the system performs well and stays secure.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs for external services and partner systems.
• Work with Backend, QA and DevOps colleagues to deliver complete solutions that meet business needs.
• Write and tune queries, stored procedures and triggers in relational databases such as Sybase and SQL Server.
• Monitor databases, tune performance and troubleshoot to protect data integrity and efficiency.
• Use Java or Python for specialised tasks, integrations or microservices when needed.
• Follow sound engineering practice: coding standards, code reviews, source control.
• Profile performance and optimise code and databases.
• Write technical documents such as architecture diagrams, specifications and user guides.

Requirements

• Strong experience building multi-tier applications on the.NET stack in C, VB.NET, MVC, Webforms, Web Services and REST APIs.
• Experience with Java and/or Python.
• Experience with relational database programming, for example in Sybase or SQL Server.
• Experience following professional practice across the full development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes and testing.
• Experience with.NET server-side technologies, creating and consuming REST backends.

Conditions

Hybrid role based in downtown Toronto.

Some time is spent in the office, at client sites and working virtually, unless an accommodation or alternative arrangement is in place.
