Description

The company builds software that turns industrial process data into business insight. This is a frontend systems engineering role centered on the React infrastructure, state management, and design system of a complex enterprise product.

You will help create reusable application patterns and the shared frontend foundations that teams use to deliver clear, consistent experiences in data-dense workflows. You care about code that is clean, extensible, and easy to maintain.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the ongoing improvement of the frontend system, raising component quality, consistency, usability, and developer experience across the product.
  • Build systems that prepare AI-driven development to succeed by codifying practices that agents can easily follow, since AI is changing how interfaces are built.
  • Choose and adapt open-source tools such as Zustand, TanStack Query, and StyleX, extending them where needed to suit the company's product, standards, and workflows instead of building from scratch.
  • Hold refactors that bring in new patterns or libraries to a very high standard of quality and completeness, since they affect every team that relies on them.
  • Work closely with the teams that depend on this infrastructure to roll out changes smoothly.

Requirements

  • Expert-level skill in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and HTML primitives.
  • Some exposure to ecosystem libraries such as Zustand, StyleX, or TanStack Query.
  • Exceptional frontend engineering with product sense, visual taste, and systems thinking.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience, including designing, building, and evolving complex systems over several years.
  • Experience shipping and maintaining design systems or component libraries in production applications.
  • Experience designing, building, or significantly evolving shared frontend systems, such as design systems, component libraries, state management, styling systems, or reusable application frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of modern frontend architecture, including state management, server and client data flow, component composition, rendering, and performance.
  • Experience building reusable components with careful attention to API design, accessibility, responsiveness, styling, usability, and maintainability.
  • Experience leading or significantly contributing to large frontend refactors, migrations, or adoption of new patterns in a production application.
  • Good judgment about open-source frontend tools, favoring extension of existing tools over custom solutions.
  • Skill at finding root causes of complex defects and performance problems rather than fixing symptoms.
  • Ability to write clear technical documentation, conventions, and examples that help engineers adopt shared systems.
  • Ability to shape technical direction beyond your own area through design and code reviews, pairing, mentoring, and cross-team work.
  • Strong product sense and the ability to work with designers and product teams on consistent experiences across complex workflows.
  • Ability to build responsive, scalable web experiences across devices and keep visuals consistent with designers.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with close attention to detail.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to work in a remote, cross-functional team.
  • Familiarity with agile methods and tools such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Ownership and initiative: spot gaps without waiting to be told, decide where to focus, and carry improvements through to completion.
  • At Staff level, demonstrated experience setting frontend technical direction or creating shared architectural patterns adopted by multiple engineers or teams.
