  • Write maintainable C/C++ code, review peers' code, and handle testing, debugging, and technical documentation.
  • Guide junior engineers, and lead technical initiatives and small projects.
  • Work with teams spread across the United States, Romania, and India, sharing knowledge and keeping engineering aligned.
  • Take part in Agile work: sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives, and ongoing process improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field, plus 5+ years of software engineering experience and 3+ years of embedded Linux or systems programming.
  • Solid production C/C++ skills, with knowledge of Linux user space architecture, embedded systems, and user space application development.
  • Hands-on work with system libraries such as glibc and musl, application frameworks, middleware, cross-platform compatibility, and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with build systems such as Yocto, Buildroot, or similar, plus Git, code review, debugging, and Agile/Scrum.
  • Preferred: strong debugging and problem-solving skills, and experience with user space debugging tools such as gdb and Valgrind.
  • Preferred: application security, open-source contributions, and real-time system troubleshooting.
  • Preferred: experience in automotive, aerospace, or industrial sectors.
  • You must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis, with no visa sponsorship or transfer required now or in the future. Work eligibility is verified at hire.
