Senior Engineer - Integrations

Description

The team builds integrations that connect internal applications with external partner systems so business processes run smoothly.

This senior role reports to the Director of Platform and Digital Engineering.

You will work across several projects at once, joining requirement discussions to advise on what is technically feasible and to define data mappings.

The company works in a quick-moving, startup-style environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver scalable integration solutions on middleware or iPaaS platforms, with Boomi experience preferred.
• Choose and apply integration patterns such as MFT, pub/sub, streaming, ETL, and APIs.
• Write and maintain XML and JSON schemas (XSD, JSON Schema), and handle transformation, validation, and mapping between hierarchical and object-based models.
• Set up secure transfers over HTTPS, FTPS, SFTP, and AS2.
• Build and upkeep custom functions or microservices in Java, Spring Boot, or JavaScript.
• Work with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to deliver dependable, high-performance integrations.
• Push ongoing improvements to integration architecture, quality, and team efficiency.

Requirements

• At least 5 years integrating enterprise applications with middleware or iPaaS platforms.
• At least 3 years working with integration patterns, protocols, and data formats.
• Solid experience in XML and JSON schema design, data mapping, and transformation.
• Hands-on work in Agile or Scrum teams.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• You can work on your own, set priorities well, and get results in a fast-moving startup-style setting.
• Clear communication with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• You can influence people and build agreement across cross-functional stakeholders.

Conditions

The base salary is $140,000 to $190,000 per year for this exempt position.

Actual pay depends on factors such as location, experience, and performance, and the final agreed base salary may occasionally exceed the top of the range.

The base salary is only one part of the total rewards package for exempt employees.
