Description

The role sits in the Experience team, which designs product experiences around users' and customers' needs. Designers come from varied backgrounds, including design systems, product, interaction, content, and visual design, and work closely with engineering and product management from the start.

You will join the Spark Team as an IC3 Senior Demo Designer, an independent contributor who produces high-quality design work within set project areas. The work turns early product ideas into clear concepts that help the team align, help the company understand customers, and help leaders communicate direction. You will work with design, product, engineering, research, and storytelling colleagues to define problems, test options, act on feedback, and deliver polished artifacts that show the value of future product experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Take assigned innovation concepts, demo moments, or product stories from rough direction to polished design artifacts, meeting clear milestones.
  • Build organized, reusable Figma designs using components, auto layout, variants, and clickable prototypes that partners can easily follow.
  • Turn customer needs, product direction, and experience goals into simple narratives, demo flows, storyboards, and visual sequences.
  • Move quickly from sketches and rough flows to high-fidelity prototypes, folding in feedback from cross-functional partners as you go.
  • Build high-fidelity prototypes with Figma, AI-powered prototyping tools, and code-assisted workflows.
  • Create proof-of-concepts to evaluate emerging AI experiences and future product directions.
  • Maintain reusable prototype frameworks, starter kits, and interaction patterns that speed the team up.
  • Test new prototyping methods and AI-enabled design workflows.
  • Explain the reasoning behind flows, visuals, interactions, and storytelling choices in critiques, working sessions, and leadership reviews.
  • Work with product, engineering, research, design, and Executive Storytelling teams to clarify requirements, resolve ambiguity, and agree on the intended experience.
  • Share examples, templates, Figma patterns, and lightweight documentation that improve consistency and speed across the immediate team.
  • Raise the quality of concept work through visual design, interaction polish, narrative clarity, and attention to detail across screens, prototypes, and presentation assets.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in product, visual, interaction, or innovation design, or a related field, with a strong focus on digital product experiences.
  • You have shown you can work as a strong independent contributor, delivering high-quality work within set scope while handling ambiguity, feedback, and iteration.
  • Advanced Figma skills: component-based design, auto layout, variants, prototyping, well-organized files, design systems patterns, and presentation-quality visuals.
  • Strong storytelling, including turning customer needs, product ideas, and strategy into clear narratives, demo flows, storyboards, and leadership-ready presentations.
  • You can create high-fidelity concept screens, clickable prototypes, visual systems, and presentation assets that make complex ideas simple and persuasive.
  • Experience with AI-assisted prototyping workflows.
  • Experience building prototypes with code-assisted tools.
  • Familiarity with design systems and component-based architecture.
  • Experience building realistic product simulations for concept validation and executive storytelling.
  • Strong collaboration with product, engineering, research, design, and storytelling partners to clarify requirements, act on feedback, and align on outcomes.
  • Clear communication: you can explain design rationale, state tradeoffs, and present work confidently in critiques, working sessions, and stakeholder reviews.
  • Strong visual and interaction design fundamentals, including layout, hierarchy, typography, flow, interaction patterns, and motion-aware thinking.
  • Working knowledge of motion, video, animation, 3D, or AI-assisted design workflows is a plus.
  • A BA, BFA, or equivalent practical experience in Product Design, Visual Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Design Communication, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency with Figma and modern digital design workflows, and the ability to produce polished, well-structured files and prototypes on your own.
