Senior Data Scientist – Finance

The company has been building computer graphics, PC gaming and accelerated computing technology for over 25 years, and is now applying AI to shape the next generation of computing, where GPUs power computers, robots and self-driving cars.

This is a senior Data Scientist role on the Finance Data Science and AI team, working alongside data scientists, data engineers and AI developers to bring data science and AI solutions into financial processes.

The team wants someone who questions existing approaches, works through complex problems and explains technical solutions clearly across departments.

Responsibilities

• Combine business understanding with data science methods such as traditional machine learning, Bayesian statistics, simulation and optimization to support key finance data science initiatives.
• Bring AI tools and agents into data science workflows, testing new technology to find where it adds value to the organization.
• Turn technical work into business terms and business needs into technical plans, making sure both technical and non-technical colleagues understand the value, risks and return on investment of each project.
• Test new generative AI technologies to find high-value uses, such as automated auditing and predictive forecasting.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience in business-focused AI and data science, including models you have put into production.
• Hands-on experience building custom agents and multi-agent systems, and working with AI-native development tools such as Cursor or Claude Code and agent orchestration frameworks.
• A BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or another engineering field, or equivalent experience. A technical Master's or PhD with a finance or business background is preferred.
• Strong technical skills, with a record of designing, validating, deploying and maintaining data science models in Python, SQL and Databricks or similar tools.
• Experience managing data science projects, working closely with several collaborators and coordinating resources across the organization.
• Excellent communication skills, including documenting and presenting complex technical findings and project status to both technical and business audiences.
• Preferred: experience in operations finance or other applied, business-focused data science, particularly at a larger company or in the semiconductor or tech industry.
• Preferred: a track record of creative solutions that apply data science and agentic technologies to remove legacy bottlenecks, improve decisions and add business value.
• Preferred: development background with the company software libraries and GPUs, and experience with OpenACC and CUDA optimization.

Conditions

Base salary depends on location, experience and the pay of employees in similar roles.

Base salary range is 152,000 USD to 230,000 USD for Level 3, and 168,000 USD to 264,500 USD for Level 4.
