This Data Scientist III role applies advanced analytics, machine learning and AI to complex business problems across the enterprise.

You will contribute directly to product development while building and deploying data science solutions with advanced technologies.

Requirements

• You hold relevant education or experience in data science or a related field, and you can work through complex scientific and business challenges and explain them clearly.
• An advanced degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree plus 5 years, in data science or a related field.
• Experience integrating, harmonizing and analyzing complex data in life sciences, biotechnology, biopharma, healthcare, clinical research, diagnostics or laboratory settings.
• Advanced proficiency in R, Python and SQL for data processing, transformation, analysis and automation.
• Strong experience designing and building ETL/ELT workflows, scalable data pipelines, data models and harmonization processes over large, varied datasets.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Experience with cloud and scalable analytics platforms such as AWS, Azure, Spark or Databricks, plus DevOps and Git version control.
• Experience with data visualization and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau or equivalent.
• Ability to turn scientific and business problems into analytical solutions and explain technical ideas to scientific, technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration, project management and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and keep up with emerging technologies.
• Preferred: NLP, deep learning, generative AI or foundation model experience in life sciences.
• Advantage: a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics, Biomedical Engineering or a related quantitative field is preferred.

Conditions

Based in Uppsala, Sweden, on a hybrid working model.

Standard schedule, Monday to Friday, with an office-based environment.
