Senior Calypso Developer

You would join a newly created technology team that supports the Capital Markets operations of a large European banking group.

The role centres on a large Calypso platform used by Front Office, Middle Office, Risk and Back Office. You would help build the team from scratch and shape how the platform is supported, customised and extended.

The work offers stable, long-running project assignments and exposure to complex financial products. After a period of collaboration, there is a possible transfer to the client.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Calypso customisations and integrations.
• Keep production and business-critical Capital Markets work running smoothly.
• Work with business people, analysts, support staff and architects.
• Write Java solutions inside the Calypso environment.
• Tune performance, investigate incidents and deliver improvements.
• Coach junior colleagues and help set technical good practice.
• Take part in system upgrades and long-term platform initiatives.

Requirements

• Software development experience of 6+ years.
• Hands-on Calypso experience at a strong level.
• Solid background in Java development.
• Experience working with Oracle or SQL databases.
• Knowledge of Capital Markets and financial products.
• Work with integrations, APIs, messaging or event-driven designs.
• Comfortable communicating directly with business and technical people.
• English at C1 level.
• Background in investment banking.
• Experience with Calypso upgrade or migration work.
• Knowledge of Linux or Unix administration.
• Some familiarity with DevOps tooling and CI/CD pipelines.

Conditions

The role is onsite in Wrocław, Poland.

Candidates based elsewhere in Poland can apply but must be willing to relocate to Wrocław.
