This is a senior business analysis and delivery leadership role in the Enterprise Data Management Office, covering metadata, data governance, data quality, lineage, cataloguing and wider data management capabilities.
You will work with product, business, engineering, architecture, governance, risk, control and platform groups to turn strategic goals into defined outcomes, requirements, delivery plans and measurable value.
You will work largely on your own judgment, run the JIRA delivery board, report to executives, bring a product view to backlog and roadmap choices, and align stakeholders on complex initiatives.
Technical depth is required. You will work with solution teams on data flows, metadata models, APIs, integrations, cloud and data platforms, security, controls and production support, and explain these topics in business terms.
The role reports to an Engineering Manager, a Product Group Technology Lead or an equivalent leader within the office.
The company is a major global bank with more than 95,000 colleagues serving over 27 million households and businesses in Canada, the United States and abroad.

Elicit, analyze, document and validate business, functional, non-functional, data, integration, security, operational and control requirements.
Turn needs into epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, data flows, use cases, data mappings, decision logs and traceability artifacts.
Work with technical teams to assess the impact of changes on metadata repositories, cataloguing and lineage tools, APIs, databases, pipelines, reporting, access controls and downstream consumers.
Run stakeholder forums, resolve ambiguity, manage competing priorities, record decisions, and escalate material risks or trade-offs with clear recommendations.
Plan and coordinate system integration, business acceptance, user acceptance and regression testing, implementation readiness and post-production checks.
Provide senior analysis for operational intake, incidents, service requests, root-cause reviews, remediation plans and continuous improvement.
Find sensible uses of approved AI and automation for requirements analysis, documentation, knowledge retrieval, testing, reporting and data-quality investigation.
Build trust across EDMO and partner teams by being transparent, following through on commitments and adapting communication to each audience.
Keep clear oversight of scope, risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, decisions, milestones and benefits, raising serious concerns early.
Use delivery metrics and qualitative feedback to inform prioritization, roadmap planning, investment discussions and product improvement.
Support business cases, options analysis, vendor assessments, requests for information or proposal, and service-level discussions as needed.
Make sure work follows applicable enterprise standards for privacy, compliance, risk, architecture and data governance.
Share progress, outcomes, key decisions, delivery risks and emerging issues with team members and leaders.
Document reusable practices for JIRA management, business analysis, executive reporting, stakeholder engagement and product delivery.
Coach and cross-train business analysts and delivery team members, and share knowledge with them.
