Description

The company is hiring a senior business analyst and technology project lead to act as the link between business stakeholders and technology teams, turning business needs into system solutions that produce measurable results.

You will help shape the company's business planning by leading analysis, running delivery across functions, and overseeing a set of upstream and downstream applications.

The role sits at a large global financial institution and involves influencing technology decisions at a high level, working alongside a collaborative team whose analysis feeds directly into business planning.

Responsibilities

  • Define the scope, objectives and enhancements for complex, high-impact technology projects through development and implementation.
  • Serve as the main contact between business stakeholders and technology teams, converting functional requirements into clear, workable system specifications.
  • Assess new technology and changing business needs, then recommend system alternatives or improvements based on process analysis and industry standards.
  • Find, report and reduce project and technology risks, weighing the business impact of proposed solutions before they affect operations.
  • Produce advanced analysis that defines complex problems and leads to data-driven solutions that inform strategic decisions.
  • Track timelines across several applications so cross-functional delivery stays on schedule and organizational goals are met.
  • Coach team members daily, including work allocation, resource planning and professional growth.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in business analysis or project management, ideally in a technology-driven setting.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with proven Excel ability for data analysis, modelling and reporting.
  • Solid grasp of every phase of the Software Development Life Cycle, and the ability to contribute meaningfully from planning through build and delivery.
  • Deep knowledge of business analysis methods, including requirements gathering, process mapping and writing functional specifications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, able to explain complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organization and time management, with a consistent track record of meeting several competing deadlines.
  • A relevant bachelor's degree is beneficial, such as in Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Experience in financial services or banking is preferred, including understanding of the operational and regulatory context of those environments.
  • Experience running projects or business analysis work in organizations with complex, interconnected application environments is beneficial.

Conditions

Full-time position with a salary range of $120,800.00 to $170,800.00.

Hybrid schedule: 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

The company uses automated processing and AI to match your skills to the role, but all hiring decisions are made and checked by people rather than automated decision-making.

This posting is for an existing vacancy. Equal opportunity policy information is available from the company.

Benefits

  • Work with experienced professionals across a global organization on technology strategy, business delivery and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Broad exposure to a large application portfolio with upstream and downstream complexity, building your knowledge of the full technology delivery landscape.
  • Chances to influence senior-level technology decisions, with visibility across business and technology leadership.
  • Access to learning and development resources in business analysis, project management and financial services.
  • Competitive pay and a full benefits package that includes financial wellbeing support, wellbeing resources and family-focused benefits.
  • A team culture that values analytical rigor, clear communication and ownership of delivery.
