Project Manager

Description

The company is a global third-party logistics provider in supply chain management and e-commerce, with about 20,000 team members across more than 100 locations. It focuses on the consumer products, tech, healthcare, automotive and publisher industries.

The company is growing quickly and is looking for a project manager to take on critical projects and lead its tech initiatives with little supervision. The role matters both to the company's growth and to its clients.

The ideal person works on their own initiative, keeps projects on schedule and cares about quality in a very fast-paced setting. You will know supply chain management and be comfortable in an open, dynamic, international environment. You will use strong analytical and strategic thinking, work well in a team, and communicate clearly with colleagues and clients. You will be open-minded and pick up new technologies and software tools quickly to support innovation.

Responsibilities

• Run large, complex projects for the North American and global tech initiatives, working with cross-functional teams from start to finish.
• Drive North American business forward by delivering projects for paperless processes and the company's tech platform.
• Start and lead local projects through design, implementation, testing and launch.
• Lead requirements engineering with product management, operations and IT to match and improve existing features and functions.
• Carry out fit-gap analyses and guide all stakeholders through the project management approach.
• Manage time, resources, quality and budget.
• Lead change management work, such as product demos and steering committees, to win over internal stakeholders.
• Help with training and adoption so warehouse teams can use new products and solutions. Present and share technical project updates with management, clients, employees, peers and vendors.

Requirements

• Early-career experience in a project management role, including writing process documentation.
• A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, economics, industrial engineering or business administration, or equivalent experience.
• Agile thinking and the ability to adapt to change.
• An entrepreneurial mindset.
• Experience with companies in high tech, healthcare, AIM or consumer products.
• Good understanding of warehousing and logistics flows.
• Preferred: knowledge of SAP WM, including how processes are set up in SAP.
• Preferred: experience in test management and IT testing.
• Preferred: advanced Excel skills.
