Senior Backend Engineer – Contacts

Description

The Contacts team at the company owns the recipient experience from end to end. That covers the scalable platform that secures the bank accounts customers pay into, the search algorithms and local integrations such as Pix that help people find recipients, and the customer screens where users manage their counterparties.

The team is critical to daily operations. If its services fail, the whole company goes down with them.

Responsibilities

• You will join an autonomous team and shape the technical direction of the backend behind the recipient experience.
• You will help scale the product and build a best-in-class recipient management tool.

Requirements

• You have worked with large scale distributed systems.
• You have worked with relational and non-relational databases, including query tuning and schema design.
• You have designed, deployed and maintained clean RESTful APIs.
• You get things done.
• You think like a product person and care about customer experience. You put customers first and use data to resolve pain points.
• You like working with others and bringing people together to solve problems.
• You follow strong coding practices, take part in code reviews and welcome open feedback.
• You enjoy writing testable code and work with Test Driven Development.
• You do not need every skill listed. If you have some of them and want to learn the rest, the company wants to hear from you.
