Senior Software Engineer (Payments) (m/f/d)

Description

The team in Tallinn is hiring a senior software engineer for an unlimited, full-time role on the payments side of the business. Flexible working conditions are available.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test and release software, applications, APIs and workflows that are reliable, easy to maintain and easy to read.
• Propose technical architecture designs, take part in discussing them, and explain them to others.
• Join regular scrum meetings as part of an agile team made up of people from different disciplines.
• Work through business requirements, turn them into working implementations, and keep clear documentation for the systems and components you build.
• Introduce industry standards and good practices that steadily improve the codebase and architecture.
• Help strengthen the engineering culture by applying organisational and industry standards, and by giving feedback on them.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with C and the.NET framework.
• Experience building, releasing and maintaining cloud-based applications.
• Solid knowledge of microservices and distributed architectures.
• Strong grasp of RESTful APIs.
• Experience with document-oriented NoSQL databases; MongoDB is preferred.
• Working knowledge of ORMs; Entity Framework is preferred.
• Familiarity with cloud development. Experience with Azure is a plus.
• Experience with messaging systems used in distributed architectures, such as RabbitMQ, MassTransit or Kafka.
• Proficiency with containers, such as Docker.
• Experience with Kubernetes for orchestrating containers.
• Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as NewRelic.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Experience in FinTech or banking is a plus.
