Description

We run SEO for a car rental and mobility business operating in 100+ markets and 30+ languages. At that scale, the constraint is almost never knowing what to do: it's doing it consistently. We're based in Lisbon and we're hiring a Senior SEO Automation Engineer (m/f/d) who applies automation specifically to organic search. This isn't a role where you'll occasionally write scripts, but where automation itself is the job, as GenAI and agentic workflows become part of how SEO actually runs. This role builds and maintains the systems that make multi-market SEO survivable. Sounds interesting? Then apply now and join your team orange!

YOURS TO OWN

You build and own the automation layer that runs across markets and languages without manual intervention: content pipelines, reporting systems, QA frameworks, and monitoring tools that everyone in the team can use

You wire the SEO stack together: GSC, GA4, BigQuery, CMS platforms, and third-party SEO tools, because much of the value sits in the joins

You apply GenAI and agentic workflows to real SEO problems: automated content QA, keyword clustering, intent classification, structured-data deployment, and other repetitive analysis work that's currently done by hand across every market

You instrument what is hard to see: crawl-budget and log-file analysis, indexability and rendering diagnostics, tracking gaps, and monitoring for things that break quietly across a multitude of markets

You work across the pillars and the organization, partnering with Technical, Content, Local, Data, Brand, and other pillar leads to identify what's worth automating, plus Engineering, InfoSec, and Legal on integration and compliance questions (data privacy, the EU AI Act)

You make it survivable through documentation, handover, and enough operational rigor that your systems outlive your involvement in them

You work in a focused engineering role: you'll write real code and ship real systems, but this isn't a path into our core engineering org or a strategist position (measured on what's built and running, not on decks), and it's not agency-managed (you work alongside vendors but the building is yours)

YOUR SKILLS MATTER

Experience You have some years of experience combining SEO (technical and/or data-heavy) with hands-on automation or software development, and you've shipped automation that exists, ran in production, and got used

API integration expertise You have hands-on experience with API integrations and automation tooling (n8n, Make.com, webhooks, or custom scripting)

Web fundamentals You understand how the web actually works: HTTP, crawling, rendering, indexability, caching, CDNs

Solid SEO knowledge You know on-page, technical, and enough of off-page and content work to know what's worth automating

AI tooling fluency You use AI coding tools as a serious part of your workflow, and you can tell the difference between output that works and output that only looks like it works

Communication skills You speak fluent English and can explain technical systems to non-technical stakeholders

Our mobility platform ONE combines our products the company rent (car rental), the company share (car sharing), the company ride (taxi, ride, and chauffeur services), and the company+ (car subscription), giving our customers access to our fleet of 360,000 vehicles, the services of 4,000 cooperation partners, and around 5 million drivers worldwide. At the company, top-tier customer experience and outstanding customer service are our highest priorities. We believe in true entrepreneurship and long-term stability and align our corporate strategy with foresight. Get started with us and apply now!
