Description

The Brand team is hiring an experienced social content creator with a background in graphic design or art direction to bring the company's brand storytelling to life for different audiences, products, channels and forms of communication.

The company is a Fortune 100 finance firm offering credit cards, banking products and services, and technology. Its brand is friendly, playful and engaging, with the goal of helping customers feel at ease on their financial journey.

The role suits someone who can link strategic ideas and consumer insights to short-form video with a polished editorial eye.

Responsibilities

  • Conceive, design, shoot and edit short-form video for the company's enterprise social accounts, mainly on TikTok and Meta.
  • Shift between big-picture brainstorming and detail-heavy production work from one day to the next.
  • Pitch and build custom concepts based on current trends and storytelling approaches.
  • Create and carry out ideas quickly and in real time at on-site events and experiences.
  • Appear on camera as talent when needed.
  • Work with art directors, writers, creative directors, brand and marketing strategists and production staff to find and produce social campaign opportunities and extensions.
  • Partner with internal marketing teams and lines of business.
  • Track social and cultural conversations and platform-specific trends, and spot topics your target audience engages with so you can act on them in real time.
  • Apply sound design and motion principles using Adobe creative software.
  • Think across channels, products and audiences as one integrated whole.
  • Balance content built for each platform with the needs of the brand and its guidelines.
  • Push the thinking and working habits of colleagues toward better customer experiences and a stronger brand.
  • Manage several projects at once, working independently.
  • Deliver polished, error-free work using best practices.
  • Take in feedback and act on it.
  • Decide whether to reuse existing solutions or build from scratch, so your time goes where it counts.
  • Grasp the goal of each project, follow direction and ask questions when something is unclear.
  • Present your work persuasively to win support from different audiences, and teach best practices when needed.

Requirements

  • Use evidence to guide your marketing decisions.
  • Stay curious and keep learning.
  • Adapt readily to change and welcome new challenges.
  • Share your own view while looking for gaps in your thinking and listening to others.
  • Think big, and know that the strongest ideas come from proof, persistence and patience.
  • Tell stories that simplify complex topics and move the audience to act.
  • Enjoy the work, with fun as a likely by-product rather than a requirement.
  • Care about your craft, your team and the customers you serve.
  • Provide a portfolio of your creative work.
  • Hold a bachelor's degree or have military experience.
  • Have at least 3 years of designing for social media channels.
  • Have at least 2 years of experience conceptualizing, shooting and editing video for social media campaigns.
  • Have at least 2 years of experience with Google Suite.
  • Have at least 2 years of experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience editing in apps such as CapCut and Rush.
  • Preferred: 3+ years of experience delivering and running social media campaigns.
  • Preferred: 3+ years in one or more of these marketing areas: B2B, Experiential, Performance, or Direct Response.
  • Preferred: Experience in the financial services industry.
