The company's team works on healthier futures, and this role sits at the center of its health-focused work. The Scrum Master / Project Manager II supports the SAP business-as-usual team on high-priority initiatives, mainly OTC enhancement projects.
The ideal candidate has prior SAP project management experience and knows the security and compliance domains. You will need to run work under both Agile and Waterfall models. An Agile SaFe certification is a plus, as is transformation experience. Strong communication, facilitation, analytical, and organizational skills are required, along with the ability to spot risks early, manage dependencies, and push for continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Work with the SAP OTC, RTR, PTP, and PTD teams affected by the project to set the backlog, priorities, dependencies, timelines, and delivery plans.
Build and run project plans covering schedule, cost, scope, quality, risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
Coordinate activities across matrixed teams using Agile, Waterfall, or a hybrid approach, whichever fits the work.
Map dependencies across workstreams, find the critical path, and share key tasks and milestones with team members and stakeholders.
Spot variances to plan early and build mitigation or corrective actions with the project team.
Track deliverables against approved scope, schedule, and budget. When something slips, escalate it with a clear impact statement and recommended options.
Identify, document, communicate, and manage risks across the project lifecycle, and get stakeholders to agree on response plans.
Engage stakeholders at the right level and rhythm to support decisions and resolve issues on time.
Adapt messages to each audience and turn project information into short, actionable updates.
Keep project records current: status reports, RAID logs, schedules, financial forecasts, decision logs, change requests, and communication plans.
Track actuals and forecasts against the budget, and escalate budget risks or financial impacts when they arise.
Propose process changes where needed and build consensus among affected stakeholders.
Apply project management practice, technical knowledge, and knowledge of the organization to reduce delivery risk and improve results.
Coach others on project management methods, practices, and tools, and look for ways to make delivery work better.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
Seven or more years of IT work experience, including significant experience running technology projects.
Prior SAP project management experience and a working understanding of SAP technology, integrations, and related technical requirements.
Experience supporting projects in security, compliance, identity and access management, or related areas.
Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methods.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-support skills, with close attention to detail.
Competent understanding of Waterfall methodology, its values, processes, and governance.
Competent understanding of Agile methodology, its values, ceremonies, and delivery practices.
Ability to manage complex projects with team-level integration points and cross-functional dependencies.
Proficiency with business and project management tools such as SPM, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or comparable platforms.
Ability to stay open to different views while still influencing, facilitating decisions, handling conflict, and driving alignment.
Comfortable with shifting priorities, ambiguity, and changing delivery needs.
Good situational judgment: knowing when to listen, when to probe, and when to push firmly.
Ability to explain complex project information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Commitment to continuous improvement, collaboration, accountability, and high-quality outcomes.
Preferred: experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, healthcare, or another regulated industry.
