Sales Engineer

Description

The company makes display cases, specialty products, refrigeration systems, power systems and services for food retail, and sells under well-known brands. It sits within the refrigeration and food equipment segment of a diversified global manufacturer with annual revenue above $7 billion.

Its work centres on relationships with customers, and the team aims to find the right solution for each one.

The company is the world's leading manufacturer of sustainable CO2 climate solutions and has designed and produced more than 18,000 CO2 systems for commercial and industrial cooling and heating since 2006. CO2 is a non-toxic, non-flammable refrigerant that does not harm the ozone layer or drinking water.

You would join an international team of more than 350 colleagues from over 35 nationalities.

Responsibilities

• Sell and recommend sustainable cooling and heating solutions to customers who speak Nordic languages.
• Prepare technical quotations, covering product design, calculations and technical guidance, and confirm project specifications before production starts.
• Work with the regional sales team to defend and grow the company's market position.
• Advise customers on sustainable climate solutions and design the best offer for each one.
• Follow up with customers and on ongoing projects.
• Close orders through structured activity in the CRM system.
• Prepare order documentation and hand it over to production.
• Maintain long-term customer relationships.
• Share market feedback with product development.

Requirements

• Hold a technical education.
• Have an interest in or experience with refrigeration or heat pumps.
• Be motivated to turn quotes into orders and willing to learn.
• Advantage: practical experience in technical sales.
• Alternatively, have several years of hands-on experience in refrigeration or heating and be ready to move into technical sales.
• Trainee positions may be considered for candidates who lack work experience but suit the role.
• Work in a structured way and manage several tasks at once.
• Have good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, and be able to use various IT systems.
• Communicate confidently in English, orally and in writing, as it is the corporate language.
• Advantage: speaking one or more Scandinavian languages, since the company aims to support customers in their local language.

Conditions

Based at the headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark, in a sales team of 7 sales engineers.

Part of Team North, which covers customers in the Nordics, the Baltics and the British Isles.
