This role supports verification and validation of hardware, firmware and software across the full product development lifecycle. You will work with engineering, product management, automation engineers, test technicians and quality staff to confirm that products meet functional, performance and regulatory expectations.

You will turn requirements into structured verification work and help shape a scalable regression testing approach alongside the automation and test teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design verification strategies that show compliance with product and regulatory requirements.
  • Build and keep up traceability between requirements, test cases, defects and verification results.
  • Write and maintain test plans, procedures and cases for hardware, firmware and software.
  • Make sure test coverage spans functional, integration, system, performance and regulatory requirements.
  • Find candidates for regression testing and automation, and work with automation engineers to convert suitable manual cases into automated regression tests.
  • Run manual verification and validation tests, record results, and state clear pass or fail outcomes against requirements.
  • Investigate, log and track defects through to resolution, and verify fixes and assess the impact of product changes.
  • Support regression, integration and end-to-end system testing.
  • Coordinate test work with automation engineers, manual testers and test technicians.
  • Work with technicians on lab and regulatory tests that need specialized equipment or expertise.
  • Partner with engineering to resolve product issues and raise product quality.
  • Report status and test coverage metrics to project stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years in quality assurance, verification and validation, systems testing or product testing.
  • Experience writing test plans, procedures and cases from product requirements.
  • Solid grasp of software and hardware testing methods.
  • Hands-on experience with structured manual testing.
  • Ability to read technical requirements and turn them into effective test coverage.
  • Experience logging and managing software and hardware defects.
  • Strong communication and organization skills.
  • Ability to work well across engineering, quality and product teams.
  • Skills in requirements analysis, V&V, test planning, test case development, manual testing, requirements traceability, defect management, root cause analysis, hardware, firmware and software testing, regression testing, cross-functional collaboration, technical documentation and risk-based testing.
  • Preferred: experience with requirements management and traceability practices.
  • Preferred: experience with Jira, Xray, Azure DevOps, TestRail or similar test management tools.
  • Preferred: familiarity with automated testing concepts and regression testing strategies.
