  • Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, contractors and vendors so the work runs smoothly.
  • Review MEP designs, drawings, specifications, calculations and technical submittals against project requirements.
  • Track construction progress and oversee installation so quality, safety and performance standards are met.
  • Resolve technical issues and push teams toward timely decisions.
  • Support procurement, bid evaluation, contractor selection and contract administration.

  • Oversee testing, commissioning, startup and turnover so systems are ready to operate.
  • Identify project risks and build mitigation plans to protect schedule and budget.
  • Prepare project reports, forecasts and executive presentations for clients and stakeholders.
  • Look for value engineering and process improvements that improve project outcomes.
  • Build strong client relationships and join business development and project pursuits when needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, building services engineering, construction management or a related field.
  • At least 5 years managing MEP systems on large commercial, industrial, healthcare, mission-critical, life sciences or data center projects.
  • A solid grasp of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and building systems infrastructure.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors and vendor partners.
  • Working knowledge of project management methods, construction delivery, commissioning and project controls.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules and contract documents.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project tools such as Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or similar platforms.
  • Strong leadership, organization, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Clear verbal and written communication, with a focus on the client.
  • Preferred: PMP, PE, LEED, CCM or other relevant professional certifications.
