Description

The company is a diversified manufacturer that designs, builds and delivers products for market-leading brands.

You will own a manufacturing program from start to finish, keeping production, quality, safety and cost on target while meeting internal and customer expectations.

The role centers on forecast accuracy, manufacturing cost control and schedules that fit the program's overall capacity. It calls for a strategic leader who coordinates people across functions, streamlines operations and drives continuous improvement to raise customer satisfaction and plant performance.

Day to day, you will handle customer issues and escalations, lead small to medium projects from start to finish in a fast-moving setting, run planning and alignment meetings across teams, take part in lean work, and report progress to stakeholders and senior leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Own the manufacturing cost commitment in the forecast: track financial results, report variances against the manufacturing cost forecast and drive corrective actions.
  • Lead cross-functional teams (CFT) and coordinate work across departments.
  • Plan, execute and deliver projects on time and within the manufacturing cost forecast, defining scope, goals, timelines and deliverables.
  • Serve as the customer's program and site representative, meet their needs, support customer visits, and send regular updates on status, challenges and wins.
  • Monitor and report KPIs covering customer satisfaction, on-time delivery (OTD), quality, accounts receivable (AR) and financial performance.
  • Identify project risks and put mitigation plans in place.
  • Make sure site work follows the contract and agreements, and handle obligations under the terms set by the commercial team. Escalate any non-contractual matters to GAMs.
  • Manage changes to scope, schedule and resources, including engineering change orders (ECOs) and product change notifications (PCNs) per customer requirements, and bring the impact of change requests to the commercial team.
  • Align production capacity (manpower, machines, materials) with demand forecasts and help build accurate forecasts and demand plans.
  • Track variances to flag possible claims and recoveries, and work them with the commercial team to resolve them on time.
  • Keep inventory at levels that support site production.
  • Confirm project deliverables meet quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and regular reports on program activity.
  • Drive process improvements and efficiency gains.
  • Put in place customer ESG and sustainability requirements as agreed and approved by the commercial teams.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, business administration or operations management.
  • Typically 7+ years of program or project management in engineering, production, operations, supply chain or a related management role in an EMS manufacturing setting.
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial supply chain, engineering, finance or operations planning.
  • Deep expertise that lets you handle complex work and teach or develop others.
  • Ability to direct cross-functional teams that do not report to you, model appropriate behavior in line with the company's values, and hold others to their commitments.
  • Oversee day-to-day activities so tasks finish efficiently and CFT members have the resources they need; track progress and performance, give regular updates, and keep project documentation and stakeholder reports accurate.
