Description

This is a New Product Transition project manager role. The person represents manufacturing on the product commercialization core team and owns the transition and release of new products into manufacturing.

The company supplies materials science and engineering equipment used in nearly every new semiconductor chip and advanced display. Its equipment supports AI and speeds up next-generation chip commercialization.

The role suits someone who wants hardware work at the leading edge of innovation, with a quick tempo and a heavy technical load.

Responsibilities

  • Build the project plan and oversee delivery of outputs from planning through implementation.
  • Keep a matrix that tracks process improvements.
  • Manage task details and deliverable progress using reports, tracking charts, and checklists.
  • Coordinate business unit resources to hit on-time and on-budget targets.
  • Track project cost performance and report it to the business unit.
  • Join cross-unit design teams and add technical input toward team goals.
  • Investigate what is blocking the project and help put fixes in place.

Requirements

  • Show practical and conceptual depth in your own discipline, plus working knowledge of related fields.
  • Know current best practices and how your area connects with others. Keep track of competitors and what sets them apart.
  • Support less experienced colleagues. You may lead small projects with manageable risk and resource needs.
  • Solve complex problems, rethink existing solutions, and reach judgments from several sources of information.
  • Shape customer, operational, project, or service outcomes in your team and nearby teams, working within broad guidelines and policies.
  • Explain hard or sensitive information clearly and help teams reach agreement.
  • A plus: experience in semiconductor manufacturing product development, product commercialization, hardware development, manufacturing, or supply chain.
