Posting ref BT-491 covers the roles of cyber security project engineer, IT program manager and network engineer.
The sponsor needs tradecraft, technical and network support for two areas: a public online portal, covering the open internet and dark web, and a specialized network. Both are critical to the sponsor's operations.
The team must develop, drive and deliver solutions that meet the tradecraft, technical and security needs of the mission.
Responsibilities
Deliver tradecraft, technical and network solutions that keep the sponsor's public portals and specialized network secure, maintained and upgraded.
Research, build, maintain and document the design and implementation of the public portal, including its open internet and dark web sides.
Research, build, maintain and document the design and implementation of the specialized network.
Apply current internet technologies and services to protect the portals, their visitors and the network.
Work with internal and external teams, other contractors, sponsor staff and outside stakeholders to define, document and implement security and operations requirements for the portal and network.
Reuse existing systems instead of building single-purpose ones. Any deviation, including in architecture or interfaces, needs prior approval through the sponsor's waiver process.
Document the full mission solution architecture and its interfaces.
Make sure each new application or system change meets the agreed SLAs for uptime, concurrent users and recovery.
Monitor each application for status and keep a resolution plan for failures.
Follow the sponsor's risk management (cyber security) framework to find and address vulnerabilities and risks across the project lifecycle.
