Product Manager

This is a global product manager role covering the PowerFlex 755T variable frequency drive (VFD) line, along with its accessories and options.

You will work directly with customers around the world and set short-term and long-term strategy that aligns with development, operations and engineering partners.

You will report to the Lead Product Manager for the PowerFlex 755T portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the strategic plan for the PowerFlex 755T portfolio through a Business Strategy Review (BSR) process.
• Achieve product-market fit using Voice of Customer (VoC) input, market analysis and competitor benchmarking.
• Coordinate engineering, quality, operations, supply chain and commercial teams.
• Lead the writing and upkeep of Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) that match customer needs and business goals.
• Set pricing, commercial programs and competitive positioning to grow market share.
• Lead important customer meetings, including executive talks, roadmap reviews and escalations.
• Manage field issues and product anomalies, including customer messaging and deciding what comes first.
• Lead product management for the Continuation Engineering team on quality improvements, cost reductions, parts obsolescence, evolving standards and customer-requested changes.
• Set key business objectives and goals, report progress to senior leaders, and make sure the team and partners are on track to meet them.

Requirements

• Hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Be legally authorized to work in the US. The company will not sponsor this role.
• Be willing to travel nationally and internationally, up to 10% of the time.
• Preferred: experience with the PowerFlex 755T drives portfolio.
• Preferred: a bachelor's degree in science in electrical, computer or mechanical engineering, or an equivalent.
• Preferred: usually at least 5 years in industrial automation or power control product management or engineering, working closely with industrial automation products and technologies, including variable frequency drives.
• Preferred: familiarity with the global industrial automation and variable frequency drive market and its trends.
• Preferred: experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and related software.

Conditions

This is a hybrid role. You are expected to work at a company location on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, unless you have business obligations away from the office.
