Description

The company builds advertising technology that helps businesses of all sizes reach, monetize and grow their global audiences.

The team is building a new global content platform that lets people turn their real-life experiences into stories others find valuable. It is a small founding group backed by the parent company's technology, data and global reach.

This Product Manager role sits in Palo Alto and focuses on understanding users and the US market, then turning those findings into product decisions. Most of the work is talking to users, studying the market and reading feedback, then condensing it into insights that guide the roadmap.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and run user research on your own, from recruiting participants and conducting interviews to synthesizing what you find.
  • Study the market and competitors, including using other apps yourself to see what works and why.
  • Turn feedback from support tickets, App Store and Google Play reviews, and community channels into structured product insights.
  • Analyze why users come back, stay active or leave, and recommend concrete steps to improve retention and engagement.
  • Work out what makes people share, engage and return, and propose features that are distinctive and fit the culture.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Operations to convert insights into roadmap priorities.
  • Present findings and recommendations clearly to the team and leadership.
  • Bring a real understanding of culture and behavior into product decisions.
  • Build a repeatable process that turns raw feedback into ranked insights.
  • Influence which features are built, changed or removed based on your research.
  • Combine qualitative findings with usage data to grow returning and active users.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of experience in product management, product marketing, strategy and operations, consulting, user research, or a similar analytical role.
  • Experience at early-stage or fast-growing companies, where you took on far more than your title implied and moved work forward without waiting for direction.
  • You spot problems and opportunities without being asked and carry them through to results.
  • A good read on culture, trends and how people use social and content apps.
  • Warm and easygoing, able to make people comfortable and get candid, thoughtful answers in interviews.
  • Real product sense: curiosity about apps, clear opinions on what makes them work or fail, and enjoyment of taking products apart.
  • You can organize messy qualitative input into clear, actionable conclusions.
  • Comfortable with data and able to pair qualitative findings with usage metrics.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and a fast pace.
  • Experience with consumer, social, community or content products.
  • Background in consulting, market research or user research.
  • Experience analyzing app store reviews or support data at scale.
  • Interest in building a long-term career in product management.

  • Take on wide scope early, with the freedom to own problems end to end and see your work shape the product.
  • Work in a small team where ideas are openly debated and ownership is real.
  • Access the scale, technology and resources of the parent company.
