Description

The company builds advertising technology that helps businesses of every size reach, monetize and grow their global audiences.

The global Engineering organization needs a leader to shape how it attracts, engages and keeps talent. The role reports directly to the CTO and leads a small global team covering recruiting, talent operations and events.

You will own technical recruiting, university programs, campus employer branding, talent development and employee engagement. You will also work with the branding team on the company's wider employer brand.

You will work hands-on inside Engineering, shaping both the teams being built and the day-to-day experience of being on them. Culture is central: you will work with Engineering and HR leaders on programs that support well-being, belonging and connection across the global teams.

The role combines people and culture work with deep technical recruiting skill and sound business judgment. You will set strategic priorities, develop your team, and personally lead select senior, business-critical and hard-to-fill searches.

Responsibilities

  • Set the global technical recruiting strategy and align hiring priorities, university programs and recruiting events with business goals.
  • Lead and grow a global team of recruiters, program managers and events staff, setting clear priorities and holding people accountable, while personally running select high-priority searches from sourcing to close.
  • Advise the CTO and Engineering leaders on talent, turning business strategy into concrete hiring plans and anticipating future needs.
  • Build and expand global university recruiting, creating clear routes from internships to full-time roles.
  • Lead the campus employer branding strategy through events and targeted campaigns that raise the company's profile at universities and attract emerging talent.
  • Work with the branding team on the company's overall employer brand.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of recruiting experience, including at least 5 years managing people, with a record of leading technical recruiting in a fast-moving, high-performing organization.
  • A record of building, coaching and developing global talent teams across recruiting, programs and events, with clear expectations and accountability.
  • A track record of personally sourcing, assessing and closing in-demand technical talent, including senior candidates and hard-to-fill roles.
  • A hands-on leadership style that pairs strategic thinking with disciplined execution and balances managing a team with recruiting directly.
  • Experience advising senior Engineering leaders across regions, with the credibility to influence decisions, align stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
  • Experience building or scaling university recruiting, internship or new-graduate programs that create lasting talent pipelines is a plus.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical judgment, with the ability to test assumptions, anticipate talent needs and tie recruiting work to business results.
  • Sound judgment and discretion on sensitive people matters, recognising concerns and bringing in the right HR or legal partners.

Conditions

Total compensation is pay-for-performance and depends on factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Depending on the position, equity and other incentive pay may be included, alongside dental, vision and other benefits.

Base pay range for California: $220,000 to $330,000 USD.

Applications are expected to close within 30 days of the posting date.
