About the Role

iCapital is seeking an Assistant Vice President or Vice President Product Manager to join the Pre-Investment Product organization. This highly visible role will help shape the experiences and platform capabilities that enable the discovery, evaluation, research, and access of alternative investment opportunities. Operating at the intersection of Product, Engineering, Data, Operations, and Client Solutions, this individual will contribute to intuitive marketplace experiences and scalable solutions that support informed investment decisions. This role offers the opportunity to influence the continued evolution of the pre-investment experience while supporting future growth, product innovation, and platform expansion.

Responsibilities

  • Own the vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution for product discovery, research, diligence, and access capabilities across the iCapital platform.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external clients to identify business challenges and develop innovative solutions that improve the pre-investment experience and client satisfaction.
  • Lead large-scale cross-functional initiatives involving multiple teams, systems, and business processes while balancing tactical delivery with long-term platform strategy.
  • Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle from discovery through launch and continuous improvement, including prioritization, requirements definition, testing, rollout planning, adoption monitoring, and iterative enhancement.
  • Translate complex business workflows into intuitive user experiences by defining business requirements, user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria, business rules, and success metrics.
  • Partner with Engineering and Architecture teams to build scalable services that improve search, browsing, filtering, discovery, comparison, personalization, fund visibility, and product accessibility across the platform.
  • Develop a deep understanding of investment product data, user personas, and user journeys to enhance research and diligence experiences and support informed investment decisions.
  • Utilize qualitative and quantitative insights to improve user engagement, platform adoption, operational efficiency, and self-service capabilities for internal and external users.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage artificial intelligence, automation, and workflow optimization to simplify operational complexity and enhance product research, discovery, and investment decision support.
  • Communicate priorities, progress, risks, dependencies, and strategic decisions effectively to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and drive tactical resolutions and long-term improvements that create scalable foundations for future platform growth and innovation.

Requirements

  • 6–10+ years of product management experience within fintech, wealth management, asset management, investment technology, enterprise software, SaaS platforms, or related industries
  • Proven experience owning and scaling complex products from strategy and discovery through execution, launch, adoption, and continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead large-scale, cross-functional initiatives
  • Experience building marketplace, search, discovery, recommendation, workflow, research, or data-driven products
  • Strong understanding of access management, entitlement frameworks, visibility rules, permissions, configuration-driven systems, or administrative platforms, including the development of scalable and transparent access capabilities
  • Able to model complex business domains and translate business concepts into logical entities, relationships, workflows, business rules, and scalable platform capabilities
  • Experience creating or reviewing domain models, process flows, user journeys, workflow diagrams, system interactions, and business architecture artifacts
  • Knowledge of technical tradeoffs and proven ability to contribute meaningfully to discussions involving APIs, integrations, platform architecture, scalability, data models, and system design
  • SQL proficiency and comfort working directly with data to investigate issues, validate assumptions, measure outcomes, and inform product decisions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and make informed decisions
  • Exceptional communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills, including experience working directly with executive leadership, clients, business partners, and engineering teams
  • Familiar with alternative investments, advisor platforms, broker-dealer ecosystems, RIAs, wealth management workflows, or investment product distribution is strongly preferred
  • Experience with modern product, technical, and collaboration tools, including Jira, Confluence, Figma, analytics platforms, API development tools, AI productivity tools, and data visualization solutions
