Product Manager Electron Microscopy (f/m/x) fixed-term for 24 months

It operates from Oberkochen, the USA, China and India, and is supported by a service network.

Its measurement tools serve electromobility, aviation, medical technology, additive manufacturing and plastics.

This 24-month fixed-term role centres on microscopy products and links customer needs with R&D, sales and marketing.

Responsibilities

• Lead product development projects and keep every stakeholder informed.
• Research the market to uncover customer needs and turn them into product requirements.
• Help shape the product roadmap with R&D and personally check new features against customer needs.
• Build go-to-market plans with sales and marketing, covering positioning, pricing and promotion.
• Track product performance and customer feedback to refine features and functionality.

Requirements

• A university degree in natural sciences, materials science or a similar field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in electron microscopy, e-beam instrumentation or a similar area.
• Strong communication and mediation skills, a self-driven outlook and the drive to make a difference.
• An analytical way of structuring complex problems, and the ability to build trust and a network across departments quickly.
• An exceptional work ethic and a firm commitment to delivering results.
• Professional-level English, which is mandatory.
• Advantageous: a PhD in a similar field.
• Advantageous: a background in the semiconductor industry, ideally, though any touchpoints are also favorable.
• Advantageous: experience in product management, project management or marketing for scientific or industrial instruments.

Conditions

Fixed-term contract of 24 months.
