Project Manager Special Customer Projects (m/w/x)

Description

The company is a technology leader in semiconductor manufacturing equipment, including high-precision lithography optics, photomask systems, and process control solutions.

Around 80 percent of the world's microchips are made using the company's technologies, and its equipment supports smaller, more powerful, and more energy-efficient chips used in phones, smart homes, and smart factories.

This is a project manager role for special customer projects in metrology and inspection.

Responsibilities

• Run customer projects in metrology and inspection within semiconductor manufacturing, from planning through delivery.
• Act as the main contact between customers and the home organization, keeping communication clear and making sure customer needs are understood.
• Learn how customers' businesses work and shape our solutions to fit them, then deploy those solutions on site and take responsibility for meeting customer requests.
• Build detailed project plans covering timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, and keep projects on time, in scope, and within budget.
• Take ownership of customer escalations and resolve them to the customer's satisfaction.
• Find root causes of escalations and propose improvements that prevent them from recurring.
• Write regular reports for senior management on project status, customer feedback, and satisfaction metrics.

Requirements

• A master's degree in electrical engineering, semiconductor manufacturing, materials science, or a related field.
• Substantial experience working with customers in semiconductor manufacturing.
• At least 5 years of proven experience as a project manager, ideally in a role facing customers.
• A solid grasp of project management methods and tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage complex customer relationships.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the tact and diplomacy to handle difficult situations.
• Fluent English.
• Advantage: knowledge of Korean, Japanese, or Mandarin is a very strong advantage.

Conditions

Office presence of at least 2-3 days per week.

Travel internationally for up to 40% of working time; the exact amount depends on business needs.
