Description

The company supplies lottery, iLottery, sports betting and digital gaming technology and services to regulated gaming organizations in North America and abroad.

Its offering combines digital gaming, player engagement, lottery technology and operational know-how, built for complex, tightly governed technology setups.

As Technical Project Manager, you will coordinate technology projects covering software applications, systems integration, infrastructure, testing, releases and operational readiness.

You will work with customer stakeholders, the company's Canadian teams, global technology groups and third-party partners to plan, coordinate and deliver work against agreed requirements, timelines and commitments.

You will build and update project plans, track technical tasks and dependencies, allocate project resources, handle risks and issues, and keep status and upcoming milestones visible.

The role calls for a solid grasp of enterprise technology delivery, hands-on project management experience, and the ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain detailed schedules, milestones and deliverables.
  • Align work across software development, infrastructure, integration, testing and operations teams.

  • Measure progress against plan and flag anything likely to affect delivery dates.
  • Organize technical resources and tasks across local and global teams.
  • Confirm that teams understand the requirements, priorities and deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 8+ years in technical project management, technology delivery, systems integration or similar roles.
  • Proven record running complex enterprise technology projects.
  • Strong track record building and managing project plans, schedules, milestones and dependencies.
  • Experience coordinating development, systems integration, infrastructure, testing and production work.
  • Experience with geographically spread global technology teams.
  • Proven ability to juggle several technical workstreams and competing priorities.
  • Experience working directly with customers and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong skills in managing project risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Experience with Agile, Waterfall and/or hybrid delivery methods.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
  • Experience with Jira, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet or similar tracking tools is preferred.
  • Experience in regulated, high-availability or transaction-intensive technology environments is an asset.
  • Experience in lottery, gaming or related industries is considered an asset.
  • Strong planning, scheduling and execution skills.
  • Able to manage several technical workstreams and the links between them.
  • Solid grasp of the software development lifecycle and delivery processes.
  • Working knowledge of systems integration, APIs, infrastructure, application environments and production support.
  • Understanding of software testing, defect management, release management and deployment.
  • Able to follow technical discussions and turn technical problems into project impacts and next steps.
  • Strong at risk, issue and dependency management.
  • Able to spot likely project problems early and push actions to resolve them.
  • Able to coordinate cross-functional teams without direct reporting authority.
  • Strong organization and prioritization.
  • Able to keep actions moving and momentum up across several teams.
  • Comfortable working with technical specialists, business stakeholders, vendors and senior management.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-support skills.
