Description

The company works on preventing, stopping and curing diseases, with more than 100,000 employees worldwide. It offers an open, respectful culture where people can bring their full selves to work.

You will own the direction of a product or solution and lead the cross-functional team that improves it. The role blends strategy, technical or scientific depth, leadership and market insight, so the product meets customer needs and business goals. Your deep knowledge of the product, from core functions to clinical uses, will keep the company's offering clearly ahead of competitors and help the commercial network perform better.

Responsibilities

  • Set a clear product vision that fits the company's overall strategy and goals.
  • Write a marketing plan for the product that sets objectives, strategies, initiatives and tactics for sales teams, with a focus on the teams you lead, and align it with the integrated company plan.
  • Prepare launch and business plans for the products and solutions.
  • Track the latest publications, communities of practice and other key updates in the CA and E-L scopes. Build promotional campaigns with the global team and manage the budget.
  • Master the product's features, clinical uses and advantages over competitors. Find where rivals are stronger or weaker, and adjust strategy, positioning and tactics. Gather customer and market feedback and pass proposed improvements to global teams.
  • Take end-to-end accountability for product readiness in internal systems, covering stock, substitutions, catalog, tender documents and pricing. Product Specialists support you on the operational work.
  • Where relevant, guide the clinician selling network with regular updates, materials, sales arguments and scientific sessions, and work with key opinion leaders on products that need demand-driven promotion.

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of the engineering or science behind your product portfolio. A bachelor's or master's degree in a related field is needed, or equivalent on-the-job experience. Relevant fields include bioengineering or engineering for systems, biology, chemistry, pharmacy or medicine for reagents and indications, and telecommunications, software or engineering for digital solutions.
  • A bachelor's degree in life sciences.
  • A master's degree or MBA, highly recommended.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in marketing, sales or commercial strategy in healthcare or the IVD market.
  • Clinical laboratory (core lab) market experience, highly valuable, especially with high medical value biomarkers.
  • Proven technical or scientific knowledge of clinical laboratory (core lab) products and solutions.
  • Experience with analytical and medical protocols and clinical guidelines, and the ability to hold informed conversations with clinicians and other healthcare stakeholders.
  • A track record of building and running marketing and commercial strategies that deliver measurable results.
  • Strong analysis skills to judge the business impact of marketing tactics, set metrics and KPIs, and get the most from marketing spend.
  • Ability to understand the product's functions, clinical uses and market position, and turn them into clear messages for the sales force.
  • Good marketing skills, with the independence to design and run product-focused strategies and tactics.
  • Strong teaching and communication skills, especially for training sales teams and working with key opinion leaders.
  • Good analytical and planning skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload in a fast-moving, changing environment.
  • Proven relationship building and cross-functional teamwork.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders through clear communication.
  • Fluent Spanish and excellent English, written and spoken.
  • Proactive and reliable, with efficient, rigorous and timely execution across the product lifecycle, and willingness to bring in whoever is needed.
  • Analytical, comfortable working with complex information to make decisions.
  • Collaborative, enjoying shared knowledge and team work.
  • Curious, keen to keep learning about the product and your field.
  • Adaptable, quick to respond to new information and to change strategies and documents.
  • Open to agile ways of working and experimentation. Values listening, collective intelligence and data-based decisions. Shows respect, humility, excellence and empowerment, with the freedom and responsibility that comes with it.
