Description

Sr Principal Product Manager role based onsite, with most of your work done from a company office.

The company is an edge-to-cloud business that helps other organisations connect, protect and analyse their data and applications, from the edge to the cloud, so they can act on what they learn.

The job covers designing, planning and running a product or a set of products across their full lifecycle, with a focus on sales enablement and bringing offerings to market.

At this level you shape the private cloud and flex solutions portfolio. You are the go-to person for important business problems, and your work should keep paying off through faster time to market, lower costs, or meeting customer needs now and later. You lead people across functions toward shared goals, mentor others and take part in the company's technical community.

Responsibilities

  • Independently lead the go-to-market strategy and the operational roadmap for private cloud AI products.
  • Define the value proposition, target customer segments and business cases that drive go-to-market work.
  • Act as the field's voice by working with sellers to bring customer requirements into product management.
  • Turn market requirements (MRD) into marketing and customer-facing detail, drawing on close customer knowledge and business, financial and industry insight.
  • Engage across verticals and customer segments.
  • Work with technical marketing, product marketing and sales operations so private cloud AI products are positioned and marketed well.
  • Guide and mentor less experienced team members, helping them build sound requirements and roadmaps.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering or a related field.
  • MBA or advanced degree in computer science or engineering preferred.
  • 10+ years of work experience in a related field.
  • Solid technical understanding of the relevant industry.
  • Ability to translate technical requirements and functions into business value for customers.
  • Strong ability to influence and lead cross-functionally, aligning marketing, operations and other functions to drive results through others on complex, ambiguous projects.
  • Extensive business acumen, with skill in root cause analysis and spotting problems early.
  • Clear communication that adapts the message to different audiences.
  • Ability to engage with analysts and industry experts.
  • Able to deliver product-specific technical training to the team.
