Description

The company makes the company Zero Trust Exchange, a SASE-based cloud security platform that connects users, devices and applications in any location. It runs from more than 200 public data centers worldwide plus private edge sites.

The team builds an AI-native enterprise and works on security for the AI era. Values are ownership and collaboration, trust through outcomes, and a challenge culture with ongoing feedback.

This hybrid role is based in Santa Clara, CA, and reports to the Architect, Software Development Engineering in the Zero Trust Branch department. You will set the quality strategy for the Zero Trust Networking Services, checking complex network security architectures and end-to-end traffic between branch networking devices and global SASE cloud services using customer-focused scenarios.

Responsibilities

  • Apply deep L2-L7 knowledge to test cloud-delivered security and SD-WAN technologies.
  • Create reliable, repeatable system-level automation suites that validate L2-L7 functionality.
  • Give the development team concrete advice to improve RASS, debugging tools and overall usability.
  • Design and run scenarios that copy real production environments to find serious gaps early, so customers can deploy with confidence.

Requirements

  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, quick-moving setting where unclear problems are a chance to create new solutions.
  • Act with strong ownership and personal integrity, and care about the engineering goals.
  • Enjoy hard technical problems and look for demanding scenarios that produce robust, scalable results.
  • Understand the end user well and put customer needs first in architecture and design validation.
  • Work with urgency and steady focus, balancing speed and quality to help the team and customers succeed.
  • Working knowledge of AI and ML, and experience using, securing or positioning AI-driven solutions to improve results in your area.
  • 12+ years of experience in network security, SD-WAN or networking infrastructure testing, with strong Python skills for building tools.
  • Proven record of building and maintaining test automation frameworks from scratch, using Terraform or CloudFormation for complex cloud test environments.
  • Deep knowledge of L2-L7 networking, TCP/IP stack internals, and performance testing using industry-standard traffic generators.
  • Strong experience with SD-WAN, VPNs and cloud security architectures, plus advanced Linux networking knowledge.
  • Solid understanding of tunneling methods such as IPSec or GRE, and hands-on work with public cloud networking in AWS or GCP.
  • Preferred: Proven use of AI technologies and workflows to measurably improve operational efficiency.
  • Preferred: Ability to see the whole product and turn that view into complex test scenarios that closely simulate real deployment environments.
  • Preferred: Experience with industry-standard traffic generation tools and methods.
